Quaker Grano de 5 minutos, bote de 24 onzas

I come out of the Deep South where Quaker Grits was the morning meal. I have missed having them since I moved to Europe. So, when I checked to see if I could get them over Amazon, I was very surprised to find them here. Quaker Grits can be cooked in the microwave or like I do them. I put about four tablespoons of grits in a small amount of water (about a cup) in a small pot and let them cook slowly on the stove. During the cooking, I stir every now and then to make sure they don't stick to the bottom of the pot. They are hearty and filling, which means I don't get hungry and want a snack before lunch or dinner. Thus, I really enjoy Quaker Grits.

Aquistato perche gia assaggiato, in un Viaggio negli States. E' la colazione "sudista", con aggiunta pezzi di frutta fresca. Infatti è usuale negli Stati del Nevada, Utah, bassa California, New Mexico e Texas. A me piace. Difficile trovarlo in Italia; grazie ad Amazon si puo'.

A south carolina girl here, nice to have a bit of southern cooking occasionally. There are different ways of making and serving it. Common (tasty) way is to cook it on the stove top with 1 part grits: 1 part full fat milk/3 parts water. A big knob of butter, big helpin’ of salt (before cooking not after), and top with shredded cheese of your choice. I prefer british mature cheddar. Is it healthy? No. Does it taste good? Yessss.
