For the money this thing is pretty slick. A nice horn to have for those random moments when a horn is needed and/or will be hilarious.

I use a megaphone for our band, singing and other vocalizing. We play to large crowds and this ultra compact puppy does a pretty good job indoors, and an above average job outdoors. CONS: Sensitive trigger gets accidentally pushed as I walk around with it (wish there was a protective wall or cover), the flimsy strap tends to tighten up when I wear it across (no biggie, I'll make a new one someday), and it's not balanced all that well with the battery pack in. PROS: It's super light (weighs hardly anything), takes double AAs (instead of the honking expensive ones), and the battery pack conveniently slides out to save the life. If you're tired of carrying around the heavy megaphones, save your shoulder and get this bad boy!

The only thing that I had an issue with was the battery compartment I only use this megaphone on my boat in case of an emergency.I put new duracell batterys in at the begining of the boating season (May-ish) but by mid-summer (2months?) I checked the batterys and found alot of corrosion on the spring connector which in turn broke off after trying to remove the batterys. I called the company right away and they were very good at sending me a new battery holder at no charge.Now I only install the batterys when I am using my boat and remove them when I'm not. If you plan to use this offen, it might not be an issue.Also the button to activate the megaphone is a little touchy, but not too big a deal.For the price, I would recomend this megaphone for the average Joe. Not for the pro.

Excellent product: well-made; excellent range of volume, as well as one volume siren sound (loud!). The microphone is wired to the megaphone and works fine. Would have been even better if mic was wireless, but then the price would have been higher. Though you may not have thought of this use, I ordered it as part of a home security system. The startling and authoritative manner in which you can project your warning to a home invader from a distant room, may lessen the chance of a closer, more deadly encounter.

It did not in fact have the whistle on the handle (as the mfr said in response to our direct query), rather the whistle is on the back of the megaphone, so its not possible to work this thing with one hand, especially when time is of the essence. also the feedback is overwhelming in a small space(we need a mp in a small space b/c earmuffs are worn) so its only good as a megaphone in a large space. We had to give it away.

This megaphone is truly lightweight and has lots of power. I used it at an outdoor horse show and it saved the day (and my voice!). The only complaints are that the trigger is overly sensitive (merely brushing against it will activate the megaphone) and you must speak directly into the relatively small microphone or the sound is distorted.

Surprisingly loud for its compact size. I'll be keeping this aboard my boat for ship to ship hailing. Much more flexible than a permanently mounted hailer horn.

The sound projection is good - the quality of the item is so-so. Accidently dropped the battery holder when changing batteries and it cracked easily. It is easy to use and the volume control makes it perfect for either indoor or outdoor use.
