Really quiet and comfortable tire
I installed three of these 20X1.75'" tires on a Catrike Villager recumbent e-trike. Now installation requires a little experience but once mastered is not that hard. The secret is lube and SQUEEZE. Just a few drops of dish soap in a glass of water, brushed liberally on the tire bead with a brush. Getting the first bead of the tire on the rim just requires a little pushing with your thumb AFTER LUBING. Then install the tube, inserting the valve thru the rim hole and stuffing the tube into the open side of the tire. Then, after lubing the bead again, insert the tire into the other side of the rim, starting with the valve and working around the rim on both sides. No tire irons are required but can be used. You will be able to get all but about the last 12", opposite the valve in pretty easily. Then it gets difficult. Now listen up... SQUEEZE the sides of the tire along the entire seated portion to move the beads into the center of the rim, not on the bead area. Then pushing/rolling with your thumbs get more of the bead into the rim. Then repeat, SQUEEZE and push. A little more will go in. Now for the final 6", SQUEEZE again to ensure that all the bead in in the center of the rim, lube the final area gain , and grasping the tire with your hands, roll the rest into place. Don't just use your thumbs, grasp the tire and roll it over the rim away from you. You are actually twisting the tire over the last portion of the rim. That is it. Takes a little practice, but if you do not do the SQUEEZE part it is almost impossible. With it, it's pretty easy. You see, the center part of the rim is smaller in diameter than the bed grooves, get the bead into that and it will go on. If you don't, it won't. Great tire, very quiet and smooth, low rolling resistance and pretty comfortable at 60-65 psi.

Nice Tires
They look to be great tires. They were hard to get onto the rims. Make sure your tube is not to large for the tire size you are using.

Cadillac (or Mercedes-Maybach) of commuter tires
I got these to replace some old slicks. I'm a Clydesdale+ commuter on a 2001 Cannondale F500 who rides 75-100 miles a week. I don't want any other tire under me from now on. Pros: * Smooth riding. It was like getting a new bike when I first put these on. Smooth and comfy ride. * Good grip on pavement. After 3 years and thousands of miles in California conditions, I've never had an issue with traction, wet or dry. * Bulletproof. On my old tires I was getting one or two punctures a week, even with inserts. I haven't had a flat yet in those 3 years and thousands of miles (knock wood, cross fingers). * Super visible. I ride in the dark almost exclusively. The reflective strip was a new thing for me. I won't ride on the road without them any more. * Long lasting. I'm a super Clydesdale. These tires are wearing really well. Later this year I expect to swap front and back tires to get many more miles. Cons: * Very tight fitting. The beads are very stiff and very tight on the wheel. When I first installed them, I thought I'd snap my plastic tire levers. Makes me worry about a roadside flat. Bike mechanic friend tells me that they stretch the beads a little before they install them. Hasn't been an real issue yet. * Sipes pick up gravel every once in a while. Not a big deal, but for a rider used to slicks and lots of flats, the sound freaked me out for a while. * Absolutely no grip on dirt or leaf litter. To be expected, but I had a few shocks before I learned my lesson.

seem sturdy. time will tell! fit fine (27.5 / 650b)
I have the giant quick-e bike. The schwalbe big ben tires that came with it wore out quickly (okay okay, 3500 miles to bald) but more importantly were extremely puncture prone. But, they weren't really designed to be puncture resistant. I was getting a flat a week on my city streets. I replaced them with these and the narrrower tire handles better and so far, no flats. It's hard to find inner tubes quite small enough for 650b x 1.5", since most tires in this size are 2", but schwalbe does make the tubes that are *just* small enough. A thick tire with a steel bead is indeed hard to install, but I believe in you. I'm a noob and it took me about 20-30 minutes / tire with tire levers. Still, I'll trade that difficulty against having to repair flats on a thinner tire on a weekly basis. I commute daily.

Strong and solid tire that fits my foldable bike.
This has been a great tire for my foldable bike. It is a strong and solid tire but it does weigh more than other similar tires that fit my foldable bike tires. I would buy this tire again and I have bought it a couple of times already.

Sturdy, Durable, and Heavy Tire
I purchased the Schwalbe Marathon Plus in the 26 X 1.5 size. I installed it and it mounted easily on Mavic XC717 Disc specific rims. The bead popped on easily and evenly. The labeling on these tires reads Marathon Plus 40-559 (the first number (40) is the tire width in millimeters. The second number (559) is the tire diameter in millimeters). 26" X 1.50". Perf, Smart Guard TwinSkin Compound: EC. Made in Vietnam. This tire is marked a #7 on Schwalbe Protection Scale #1 being the low and #7 being the highest protection. This tire is suitable for electric bike use according to the literature, however it is not tubeless ready. The packaging also had a pictorial showing proper installation and inflation, nice. There is a white reflective stripe on the sidewalls. The tires are also marked with directional arrows so I had to make sure that the arrows pointed in the direction of travel. Riding on these tires felt a little rougher than the smoothy tires they replaced, partially because of the tread and partially because of the sturdy, wire bead, thicker sidewalls and SmartGuard belt. They ride quietly and inspired a feeling of confidence. There is an increase in pedal effort but is mitigated a small degree when inflated to max 95 PSI. Even at cruising speed constant speed is harder to maintain. My main complaint is the dead feeling of a tire of this type. You won't be racing with these tires. I am familiar with cheap Chinese tubes and tires. Tubes burst, tires blowout and the bead is always crooked. I am finding that Schwalbe is a higher quality product. To me, paying extra is worth it for peace of mind. I recommend these tires for anyone who wants a safe and quality tire.

They really are close to flat-less
Where I ride there are issues with goat-head thorns. I use this tire, which has a foam layer in it and put a puncture-resistant strip inside. Rather than having punctures on almost every ride, I go years without a problem. That's a good thing because the tires are quite stiff and hard to get on the rims. Changing a tube out on the trail would be hard to do.

Great Tire, good performance.
Great tire!!! I replaced the Schwalbe Supreme, which is a very good tire, by this on my folding bike. I have been riding it for 2 months. I cannot tell how reliable it is as I am lucky enough not getting any nail on it yet. However, changing from 2.0 to 1.35, I can tell a big difference on my ride. I can pedal much faster. I was amazed the notable performance after installing this tire. I can go one more gear up than usual. Since I only change the rear tire, the front tire is still a bigger, older tire. I don't know if it will be even faster if both got upgraded. Some people said it is not easy to change this tire. My tire size is 20". I can tell it is harder to change than my old tire. However, it is not impossible. It just takes me more time and effort but I don't need any help from others. So far, I like this tire a lot. I hope it will last me another 3 years before wear out. Then I can tell how durable it is.
