Herlitz A4 3-Flap File with Elastics - Assorted Colours (10 Pieces)

I like categories and I find what was meant to be a 'paperless' office is full of paper. So I decided the best thing to do is to put everything into clearly labelled folders. These are just the right size for most of my needs and it's easy to keep my work organised.

I had been using Europa portfolio files bought in a local shop and found them really good. Thought I would try the Herlitz version to file assorted paper mementos. These are nice and bright, and sturdy enough. However, I hadn't noticed that the side flaps are glued on and shorter than those in the Europa version. The practical consequence I see to this is that the file won't hold smaller bits of paper securely, as may be visible in the photo I'm about to try to upload. The board is a little less thick than the Europa brand, and there's a bit less of it in all. Also, the elastics are lighter. The Europa will probably handle a heavier and thicker load happily. However, for a reasonable quantity of A4 sheets, I anticipate the Herlitz files will do nicely and the Europa may be overkill. I am ordering some Europa files to keep my fiddly little bits of paper safely contained.

Good product if you are keeping them on a shelf or filing system. Not great if you are a 13 year old shoving them in and out of a rucksack daily. They just couldn’t cope with the rough treatment. Got some zippy plastic reinforced things in the end.

These flap files are oK but if you want something to hold more than 20 sheets of A4 I would find something else

We use these for important documents. They are great to keep them together and organized. While we are in the US and thus use 8 1/2 x 11 paper, the A4 works well and even allows a little extra space for think stacks of paper.

Das Material ist sehr angenehm und hält ewig, wenn man damit normal umgeht. Die Gummis sind gut befestigt und tun, was sie sollen. Mir ist diese Art von Mappe lieber als Schnellhefter, da man die Mappe einfach aufmachen kann und auch Blätter herausnehmen kann, die zwischendrin liegen. Für die Schule ist das sehr praktisch. Das einzige, was mich ein bisschen stört ist, dass in der Innenseite die angeklebten Halterungen eine kleine Kante haben, an der die Blätter ab und zu hängen bleiben. Das passiert aber nur, wenn man die Blätter in die leere Mappe legt. Da ich für Klausuren, in denen man die Unterlagen hernehmen darf, und beim Lernen auch mal alles aus dem Ordner nehme und danach wieder reinmache, kommt es in meinem Fall öfter vor, dass ich da hängen bleibe. Das hätte man vermeiden können, indem die Mappe aus einem einzigen Stück gefertigt wird. Ich kann mir aber vorstellen, dass die Herstellung dadurch unverhältnismäßig komplizierter und teurer wird. Deshalb bin ich trotzdem insgesamt - und vor allem für den Preis - sehr zufrieden.
