Kids love playing the songs on their recorders.

My teenage daughter plays several instruments, and played recorder in elementary school. She wanted to start playing it again, so I purchased a wooden recorder for her (The plastic ones are just obnoxious and sound like a cheap whistle). She is also a huge fan of anything Disney, so I thought this book would be a fun way to get her back up to speed. I assumed from the description that it was geared towards younger kids, but I thought it would assist her in practicing a little, to remember the fingering, and at the same time be a lot of fun for her.This book has only PART of each of the songs it lists as having.For example, "Let it Go" has only from the middle of the first verse "Don't let them in, don't let them see"...to the end of the first chorus: "The cold never bothered me anyway."Hal Leonard usually has very good instructional books and sheet music. Very disappointed in this purchase. This is a book of excerpts of about 9 songs, nothing more. Don't waste your money.

These were fantastic, and were easy enough for my 10 year old granddaughter to play on her recorder despite her being a complete novice when it arrived.Because it teaches how to read music, and how to find each note finger placements on the recorder it is as suitable for a complete beginner as someone who has been playing a bit longer. The familiar songs give an incentive to perfect technique and learn to play the songs well.She is currently mad about all things 'Frozen' but the songs from 'Tangled' and 'Enchanted' make a lovely addition to the collection, and are something to treasure for years to come.

Bought this for my little girl at christmas she is musical, she loves it and still uses it now as she has mastered most of the notes and songs she has now taken to trying to teach me and her dad lol. It also gives guidence on where to place youre fingers for notes the tunes start easy then get a little harder and not all songs are from frozen so you do get a good variety of tunes to learn.

My 7 yr old has been having lost of fun trying to play these songs. It's great, easy to read and well laid out in a way that means you don't need to stand next to the screeching as they practice!

This was purchased as my daughters first recorder book. Very easy to follow and my 7 year old likes it and doesnt leave it alone. Would highly recommend as is great for beginners.

Bought this for a 6 year old who started getting into music and playing the recorder. She loved it and found it easy enough to follow the notes and play the songs! Great present.
