Bought this maybve 2-3yrs ago to use for hot oil treatments, to try improve my hair health. I did not know what to expect despite the reviews. Came well packaged in a box. There was a plastic shower cap, plus the actual devise. The heat cap itself is quite large (I have a small head) and would fit even with braided hair. I have to pull the draw strings quite snug to keep it on. The cord's length is not too long - its ok if you sit right next to outlet but not much room to move around. The settings are OFF, LOW, HIGH. I use it on high since when I tried the low it does not provide much heat. It has a thermostat (you can hear the click) that turns the device off to cool it when it reaches it hot capacity and back on. I use it for about 1hr for the hot oil/deep conditioning treatment. I like it so far. It does the job. Use with good hair products for tangible results.

Where was I without this my whole life? If you take care of your hair you NEED this! It gets really warm and helps open my hair to let the nutrients in. No more waiting for hours hair oil, 1hr or 2 with this is all you need. Turn on a show and let the heat warm your hair and scalp to get the best benefit from your hair oils and masks. LOVE THIS.

A little bit small but does what it's supposed to. I was using a heat pack on top of a shower cap. This made things much easier and my daughter's hair is super soft after a deep condition with this.
