Well worth it! No more fashion trash timbies, back to basics with Caterpillar boots!
These boots were created by mighty Thor! Forged with his hammer and lightning bolts from the heavens, given to man to wear on the battlefield! As a result of mighty Thor making these for his troops, these boots are MENS BOOTS!None of this "unisex" garbage for the garbage polluted sewer minds of the over medicated lemming masses.Ok, a little over the top there, but these are awesome boots without question and i believe that even the mighty Thor would've been proud of them, and certainly Odin would've liked them since they'd have made smashing ice giants a little easier. These are solid, well built rugged boots, and they feel really good to wear and snug. I feel sure footed given the grips, but even looking at them from the picture I'm sure you could already tell that.I have been buying Caterpillar for around 20 years, but then bought a couple of pairs of timberlands over the last 5 years. Now i mention this because i want to highlight what the difference is: Caterpillar boots i still have from 1997/98 could still be worn (if my feet were still size 9) they never fell apart, they never got tatty, the soles never split or fell apart otherwise, but the two pairs of timberlands (stupid "fashion" trash) didn't last long at all. The inside heel wore right into the wood, so to speek, and naturally this wears your skin right down to the wood even with thick socks on, the inside heel of the timberland boots just grates on your skin badly, but those old Caterpillar boots are still fine on the inside heel section.Timberlands also cost quite a bit more than Caterpillar does, the reason for that is purely down to their brand being hyped up so much and nothing to do with build quality at all, but Caterpillar just keeps going.I'm never buying any other boots again. I just fell into that stupid 'buy what your friends buy cos it's the trendy and cool thing to do'.So when it comes to buying boots, take it from a company that knows how to build tough and rugged things, they make heavy duty Earth moving machines after all, so they know what it takes, plus they're an American company, so it's good to support our closest and longest allies, our brothers and sisters in the USA.As an added bonus, the money saved by not buying stupid "fashion" trash timberlands, i can buy good thick socks, like these ones:3 Pairs Mens Jeep Terrain Walking Hiking Work Socks Black 6-11 uk and my feet and 10 toes are thankful.I bought those 'Jeep' socks the instant i noticed they were being sold on Amazon as I've had them in the past. You'll notice the padding on the heels of those socks, yes, it's good, it's all good, go ahead and treat your heels and 10 little toes to them, they'll thank you for it. You all know what it's like to have big blisters and cuts on your heels and you know how crippling that is, so save yourself that trouble with those socks! So no more fashion trash 'timbies' - back to basics with Caterpillar boots as i know they're built well and made to last, and i don't care about being 'trendy and cool' in the eyes of the mindless giddy fashion lemmings. I'm me, i wear Caterpillar boots, i walk on rough ground and i don't care to avoid puddles because i know these Caterpillar boots will keep my feet dry and warm and safe, and I'm sticking with the Caterpillar brand from now on as I've done since the 90's.

The daddy of work boots
Been wearing for residential plumbing and light construction 5 days a week for nearly a month. They are great. Very solid construction. Fit is a little large and wide which is good for those with wide feet like myself. If you are a half size with regular width feet, may want to get the smaller size. Very comfortable including when bending down. Highly waterproof for this type of boot. Only downside is that they are heavy but this is expected with such a solid boot. They look like they could last at least a year which is what I was looking for and is rare for work boots. Only time will tell. Don't let the price put you off. These are worth it.

They are nice boots comfortable and hatd wearing only lasted 12 months and the sole started coming away from the boot. Did buy another pair hopefully it was just a dodgy pair

Nice boots
Nice chunky boots , good sole protection and anti slip , comfortable to wear all day , little on the heavy side but feels better quality. I paid £117 seems to come down in price lately. Gutted. Had the a few weeks now so see how the wear and tear will go over time , they have had a beating already with plastering and concrete so so far so good.

Tad bigger than older cat boots ....
I have had the cat diagnostic boots for about 4 years in a UK size 9 and they were a little to big for me but laced up tight they fitted OK, I have brought the gravel 6 s3 in the same size 9, and they were quite a bit to big , they are wider at the front and I had to return them for a smaller pair(8) which fit perfect ..amazing boots ,amazing looks built tough they are. Worn for two days now and very very happy with them 10 out of 10 .

A very robust pair of boots
I've had three pairs of these boots, they are very, very tough, may be not the best looking boot but very well made, I work in an engineering environment with a slippery oily floor these grip through regardless (after skidding around with Dewalts). They last for ages, Not the cheapest boots in the world but probably the best value.

Avoid like the Plague,
Bought these at the end of May 2018, wanted a good pair of working boots, did not mind paying a bit extra. Hoped to get a year or 2 out of them,However they are extremely heavy boot, laces broke within 3 weeks, heel areas worn down within a short time frame. Also a split across the sole, that let in water. My work collage bought a pair the same time, at a 1/3 of the price of mine, and his has worn better than mine, I've binned mine now, should have taken on board the previous review, the only good thing about the boots was the leather, which was a high quality, 10 months for a pair of boots at this price, anyone considering buying these, avoid like the plague,

Superb work boots, not too bad to break in , these are premium quality and will last many years I’m sure, bit pricey but worth every penny, highly recommended buying them.
