I’ve been using this mat on my couch and bed for the past few weeks, and it’s been a great way to unwind in the evening. The shiatsu nodes around the neck area provide a surprisingly deep knead—it can feel a bit intense if you lie completely flat on a hard floor, but propping it up slightly on a chair or using the flap cushion makes it just right. The heat warms up quickly and feels consistent along the back, while the vibration zones do a decent job of relaxing tired legs. It’s naturally a bit bulky to store given the full-body length, but it folds up easily enough to slide into a closet. Overall, it’s a convenient, well-made mat that helps loosen up everyday tension without needing a bulky massage chair.

I’m really impressed with this shiatsu full body massage mat. I bought it mainly for back pain relief and it has worked wonderfully. Excellent for price. The pros are it’s very effective. It’s truly gets out all of the cramps and knots of muscles. I use it once or twice a day for upper, middle and lower back. When brand new, I needed to use a blanket between me and the mat so the metal balls didn’t hurt. Two months later I don’t as the machine and the metal balls are not as strong. It really does help a ton. The cons- after one cycle, the metal balls don’t move up and down without getting stuck by my own back resistance any I have to arch a bit to let them pass. The other con is one can’t just turn it off with the electronic hand pad. I need to pull the two connected ends of the cable apart. It’s annoying but better than spending $500 dollars. Overall for the value, four out of five stars. This is not for a relaxing massage although it has heat and vibration l it’s for those with truly painful backs, very knotted up muscles and cramps and spine issues .If this is you, it will work .

For reference, I am a 50 year old, 5'1 woman with petite arms/legs that has had Fibromyalgia, arthritis and degenerative disc disease in my spine for many years. I'm always on the lookout for items to bring relief. Recently tried a few massage products (one was from this same company) but returned them, but this massager will be the one to stay. I purchased this on Cyber Monday for $119 and give it 5 stars for that price. I've had a Homedics brand one for a few years but it is only for the back. I especially bought this for the included neck feature because I was told by my Rheumatologist that I now have the neck of a 65 year old and the muscles have gotten very painful the last year. Fibromyalgia can make it tricky to use these types of massagers, depending on where you have tender spots and how sensitive they are. So, with that in mind, I personally found the adjustments helpful and I love that there is a "rolling" option as it's still strong but a bit less aggressive than the "shiatsu" in my opinion. I use it with the flap on. It's true that a blanket or towel will soften it more if you need that. The heat on the back part is decent, but if you are used to using a heating pad on high settings, you might find it lacking. For comparison, I use a big Pur heating pad on #4/5 and I'd say the massager's heat feels like maybe #3. I like how it works in a dining room chair or my recliner. You can adjust further like is mentioned...with a cushion underneath. The neck shiatsu part is very nice and strong enough to relieve the tightness. There is a "heat" option for the neck but I find it too mild for any impact. As for the "vibration", meh-I tried it, but probably won't use that feature, but used all together it's a pretty relaxing overall experience. I mainly bought this for the massage features and I realize they aren't going to be absolutely perfect in every way. That being said, I'm happy I purchased it! My perfect scenario, of course, would be having a live-in massage therapist to give me a daily massage, or one of Planet Fitness' Hydrotherapy beds installed in my home, but THAT'S not going to happen lol, so this massager is the next best thing. Their products are easy to return if it doesn't work for you. Try it!

I'm 5'-2" so I'm on the edge of being too short for the neck bit. Gotta prop a pillow under the thigh mat and postition the neck portion at the lowest setting. Even getting this to work for my height, it's not comfortable. The shiatsu motion just seems to put pressure in the wrong spot, either pinching the back of my head or slamming into the top of my shoulders creating tension, and overall it pushes my neck uncomfortably forward. The majority of the time I have the neck bit turned off completely and use it as a head rest, or I'll just have the heat on. I'd be less irritated about it if the neck portion could be removed, but...it can't. Good news is that I can flip it completely around, lay it flat on our chaise and put my legs across the back. Since I'm short, my feet hit right where the neck "pillow" is located, so I get a decent foot massage out of the thing instead. The back portion though...Love it! As others mention, the shiatsu can be a little intense until you're used to it but it's less so with the included pad. If that's still too much, a blanket or heavy sweatshirt helps too, and that issue is much easier to work around than problem solving the neck section. It works well for me, and as long as my family leaves me alone while I'm using it, the experience is relaxing. I usually do a couple rounds with the shiatsu and then finish with the rolling function. Which brings me to... My only complaint about the back settings is the timer function. It's irritating that the longest setting is 15 minutes, and all your selections are reset when it does the auto shutoff. All the massage cushions I could find on Amazon had this same setting though, so there's not much I can do about it. I realize the timer is probably there because of the heat functions, but I really wish they'd they'd have the option for a straight on & off. If I were to do it again, I'd purchase one of the other models that has the same back functions, but has no neck piece. It's saved me time and money versus visiting the pros though, so in that sense it's been worth the purchase price.

I've owned this item for a couple weeks now and I really enjoy it. The shiatsu massaging mechanisms that go up and down your back work well. The item has a pretty nice vibrating mechanism in it and it warms up pretty well to help with the back tightness one may feel. The mat has a nice neck rest that fits the bill. I've been using the item for a couple weeks now and it definitely has helped with back tightness and removing knots in my shoulder blades. One thing I wish was better was the massage mechanism in the legs though. For next time I guess right?

I had to return this item. It isn't the first time I buy a massager pad from this brand but this one was just bad. I used it twice, literally. The first time it worked as advertised and the second time, it started to make an awful noise and it seem to be stuck in the upper back position.

This thing is awesome! I have a few of the chair style massage units with rigid backs. They work well for office chairs and seats that are more upright but I have never found one that works well on the ground and on my recliner, until this one! This one works really well on my recliner and on the ground and any seat I have tried it on. It has a lot of flex and compensates with a lot of padding on either side of the massage rollers to keep it's form. It is super comfortable in any position and because of how it is constructed, it is super lightweight and easy to move. It also folds very compact, which was surprising. Really great massage pad, feels great, strong massage but you can back it off to be a light massage too is that is your thing. It is also super quiet. This is the best massage pad/mat/chair tool I have ever had, hands down. Use those FSA/HSA funds on this, you won't regret it.

awesome massager. It fit all that I was looking for which keep in mind may or may not be the things you like in a massager. So I'll do my best to stick to the facts. The massager is compact and appealing to the eye in that the material covering the massager is nice color and easy to wipe clean if needed. There are two settings to choose from. Press on button once turns massager on with the rotating heads turning and will switch direction all on their own every 1-2min. Press on button a second time turns heat on while rotating heads are moving. Long press on button turns massager off. It may sound over simplistic and may not have enough options for some people but it is all I needed and is working like a charm. Feels well made and durable and i am so glad I purchased this item I will visit the sellers website simply because its such a nice massager
