Bought for CAD/CFD and gaming on the side. Runs MOBA games at 300+ fps with max graphics settings. Proper workhorse. Ordered new received new. Not DOA (a minority of other buyers claiming DOA). Performed windows 11 home debloat and would recommend other buyers do the same. Looking for an Alienware? buy while it is still this affordable.

If you travel alot and lie to game like me, this is it folks, great machine, had issues with drivers at the start because I didn't know how to update all drivers but Dell support guided me through all the steps to make it run very smooth through Dell website tool, it is speedy but well worth the money, seems pretty sturdy but I wouldn't try to use it as a chair, it gets pretty hot, runs all games after optimizing them with Nvidia app at 100+ fps at 1440p, im in love

This is a great laptop. But buying it could not have come at a worse time. With the current chip shortage out there, we had to settle for half the memory and half the drive space for $1000 more for the unit I paid for. But as for this unit, it's absolutely awesome, I can wait until the chip shortage is over so I can upgrade it back to what my previous had. 32GB memory is o.k. if I only want to run half of my virtual machines on it. I wiped the Windoze OS before I even turn it on. Linux Mint 22.03 installed without a single incident and works fantastic. I use the NVidia GPU to handle my serous number crunching operations to gear up better performance for my visualizations. I do have Windows on a dual boot configuration because there are a few companies out there who wish to be left behind and insist on staying on the windows platform. (Turbo Tax, Intuit etc). Thanks for making this somewhat affordable in spite of the chip crunch.!!

Alienware seems to really gotten their act together recently. This laptop is beautiful, has a great high-quality feel to all the materials including the keyboard, and yet it’s actually a pretty good value given the performance specs. The only thing I can possibly complain about is the screen isn’t the highest quality. It’s got great frame rate, and nice color, but the contrast isn’t great, and the uniformity of blacks is pretty poor. I really wish Alienware would offer an OLED screen on what is supposed to be their flagship laptop, but that’s only a minor complaint. I’d certainly be happy to pay more to get a better screen, but at this price point the screen quality is acceptable. The thermals are much improved over the prior generation. There’s only so much they can do because they insist on using Intel processors, but they’ve done a nice job with the cooling on this one. Unless you’re playing a game you won’t even notice the fan, and when you are it’s not nearly as loud as the prior generation, and the laptop itself doesn’t get as hot. Lastly, the performance: absolutely amazing for a laptop. Especially at this price. I could run Forza 5 at the highest settings and hit 240 frames a second. Just fantastic performance for something you can take with you.

So I'm a DJ I didn't get this computer for gaming. But for My use its over kill and I love it. Great computer. 👍. People complaining about the weight. Love the weight it doesn't feel cheap. So if you don't like the weight. Maybe do some curls or pushups. 😊

One of the best gaming laptops I've ever used. Any game is playable at 1440p with good settings. The fan noise can be controlled im the panel menu for a more cozy experience. Expensive but very much worth the price. Also a recommended way to start Xbox Game Pass since it's included for free for 3 months. The heat level will vary on the game but so far its been comfortable for me. Only thing is you may want a hard drive.

What can i say i9 and 5700i graphics, 240 Hz screen, very fast I love it, want to borrow it Ggggrrrrr. It is replacing my 5 year old MSI i7 4080 which was a realy good gaming laptop, hence why it took me 5 years to replace but it, it was begining to strugle with graphics. The power supply is noticably small in size and does not get that hot compared to the MSI PU. The laptop cooling is very good, but if you run a heavy graphic game expect it to behave like a fan heater. I would not recomend having it on your lap while running Baldurs gate 3 for example. On a desk or other such the heat does not seem to bother the laptop in the slightest. Like the various keyboard and other visuals. Downsides, its heavy, it feels sturdy, but I would not want to drop it, it could badly injure your wallet. It will not fit in a normal 16" laptop bag due to the rear cooling, you need an18. The price, even though its worth it. I would advise getting 32g RAM rather than the basic 16. I did not increase the SSD from 1g on cost grounds but its very easy to change or add to, pleanty of SSD sockets. The online manual provides a complete guide to adding or updating, but probably best do it after the waranty expires. Use in a public place makes me nervous, it looks expensive/classy AKA Stealable.
