Great pump!! I bought this for our swimming pond and it has been running non stop for two months now and still going strong!

Doesn’t last/no company response
Does not last. Well, this product replaced. My current pump motor came on was connected wonderfully for one week turned it off now. It only comes no section. Had it worked on professionally and I’ve contacted the company and heard nothing in response. Very disappointing. This item is a summer only use so I’ve spent my whole summer working on a brand new pump and it doesn’t work.

It’s a headache.
You might as well opt for a cheaper pump that doesn’t come with a chord. This chord is 2 feet. How close is your outlet and to which side of your filter is your existing pump located? If your current filter has a bracket to which the existing pump is located and fastened to, where are mounting holes in compared to this one? The hoses to this pump have fasteners that are likely the same as your current but the threads seem positioned differently. If the pump needs to be rated on its ability to function then give it a 5. It will turn on and move water.Its design to be universal is a 2. Like all things in plumbing, you can attach a thing to a thing with another thing and make anything move fluid. Longevity, who knows…

Easy to use
We were able to install this fairly quickly, and I have to say it works better than the pump it replaced! Puts out quite a bit of water, quickly, and we were super impressed with the design. Seems like a good quality, well-made pump that was built to last.

This is a review I should not have to write. So far as I can determine this is a decent pump - with fatal flaw: not only are the instructions sketchy to the point of being almost useless, they refer in a diagram to a check valve - WITHOUT MENTIONING THAT IT IS NOT INCLUDED. If you aren't clear what it is, a check valve keeps water from running back into your pump. If it does and you start the pump without priming it, the pump WILL overheat, it could CATCH FIRE and even if it doesn't, the heat could melt your valves and VOID YOUR WARRANTY. Seriously, you manufacture something like and then you won't spend an extra few hundred dollars to do a decent instruction manual? Had I not happened to touch the pump and noticed that it was fiery hot it would be defunct and my warranty would be void.
