Stihl MS 170 Cylinder Chainsaw in cm3: cm³ 1200 W Guide 30 cm

Very good

This is a great chainsaw. I would have given it 5 stars, but for two issues: 1. It was delivered with instructions in German and Dutch, so I had to resort to the internet to find them in English. 2. In comparison to my Stihl leaf blower and hedge trimmer it is quite hard to start from cold. Btw the instructions say that the preferred starting method is to place it on the ground and put the toe of your boot through the handle. I have average size feet but the toe of my work boot won’t go through the handle. It has to be started between your knees.

I have a number Stihl chains saws. This one is cheap and not as good as my others. The purchase price reflects this. Still a good tool, just not as good as my other kit. It has not put me off their products, just made me more aware of what I'm paying for. If you're buying for light use than it's perfect.

The box arrive the next day and all I needed to do was to attach the chain, fill with oil and (pre.-mixed) fuel and it started-up without any problems. I bought this for mainly for maintenance in my garden and a Stihl is normally good sign of quality. I was at first a little bit skeptical whether it would be powerful enough for the job. I had a pile of small trees that had been cut down during the winter and which needed to be made into logs for the fireplace. This was the first test I did together with my son (who is a landscape gardener) this last Saturday. My son and I were really impressed; (my son normally uses larger Stihl's for his professional work). As a comparison, my son's main comments were that even though it's a low-end model it was nevertheless a really well built and quality saw; even the plastic part were well made. The machine was very light (compared to the bigger models) which made it easy to carry for many hours during the day and was surprisingly powerful when cutting through 20cm trunks. We managed to produce a good pile of logs and it passed the test. OK we've only used for a weekend so far - but the first impressions are really good.

Habe eine große Dolmar zum Bäume werfen.(Ziemlich schwer) Mit der Stihl MS 170 ist das Entasten und Zerlegen ein Kinderspiel. Sie ist leicht, durchzugsstark, springt sofort an(auch bei Kälte). Für die Brennholzaufbereitung eine unverzichtbare Hilfe.

Petit mais parfait pour les travaux de jardinage. Le produit a même été livré 2 jours plus tôt ! Peut chaleureusement recommander ce produit.
