This is an amazing device and a bargain. My older desktop computer running Windows 7 Home Premium all of a sudden lost the ability to recognize Wi-Fi. I plugged the USB adapter into the USB port, did the simple installation and within minutes my Wi-Fi was restored and I was back online. Some reviewers indicated that the adapter became very hot. I have not experienced that problem, and am of the opinion that the voltage on their USB port was too high, or that the USB port was not making a good connection. I woad recommend this without reservation.

Very compact USB Wi-Fi adapter. Had good signal strength on several Networks, it was very easy to use and set up, with no drivers required. Excellent high speed connection at a very reasonable price great value.

I got this little adapter to add some Wi-Fi to an aging Windows 10 desktop I didn’t mind messing with. When you plug it in, Windows treats it like a mini flash drive and asks you to run an EXE to install the drivers – so definitely not truly plug-and-play, despite the marketing of being “driver free”. I also found the driver package a bit shady, too; it’s not uncommon to find malware on devices like these, and this product gave me no reason to trust it more. Like other reviewers, the download speed was slower than I expected. Heat is another concern - it gets very hot after 10+ minutes. Overall, I would look elsewhere. If you need a stop-gap for ten bucks, go for it I guess? But even so, still probably better to look for something name-brand if you can.

This is a pretty good product. I plugged it into a spare USB port on my Win10 Dell mini desktop and it popped up as an exe to launch. No drivers to install. I now have fast 5G (802.11ac) WiFi on my desktop PC.
