Sock Ring Holders

I bought these several months ago, but held off on the review until I had washed my socks a bunch of times. They keep the socks together and have held up.

I have all black socks, all the same brand. But they differ! Some are thicker, some are taller, some have different texture. No one else could tell, but it's annoying to be wearing two different socks. So, with these sock sorters, pairs stay together. Occasionally a pair gets separated in the wash, but not often.Our corgi just loves sock sorters, though, and chews them to bits but, thankfully, doesn't swallow them. So I keep them away from the dog, and all is well.

These are great! They are rubber, 1.5" in diameter and 3/16" thick--very flexible! The picture makes them look bigger, like hard plastic and less thick. I am using them for compression nylon knee-highs, have been able to put a pair through the holder by the toe about a third of the way up. I then put multiple pairs in a mesh bag in the washing machine. A real time saver as I put them in the holder after wearing, so no wasted time matching before or after.

Yes, these rings do the job. I haven't lost a sock since using them. However, if you wear a thicker pair of socks, which I do all winter, they are very difficult to push through the ring. And after washing, you really have to tug and pull to get the ring off, which is difficult and also not good for the fabric of the sock. The convenience of use is just not there for me.

I 've had these for years. This was a replenishment order. I gave some to a friend, who also loves them, though her young son's socks sometimes come out, so I suggested for her to put 2 pair of her son's socks into the sock ring. Occasionally a ring will split open, though not very often.

The sock ring holders will probably perform their function, but they may smell-up your socks drawer in the process. When I removed them from the bags they were shipped in, I immediately smelled a strong, pungent rubber scent. I tried washing the sock holders in soap and water, letting them air out, soaking them in a mixture of white vinegar & water, laying them in the sun, etc. After more than a week of these steps, the smell is slightly less obnoxious, but still more than acceptable.The sock holders aren't expensive, so it's not worth it to return them because the postage will cost almost as much as the items. I recommend sock holders, but just not from this manufacturer.
