Will this brush work on a doodle or curly coat, or is it only for double-coated dogs?

Our rake is built for shedding coats: the nine-teeth side works through mats and tangles, the seventeen-teeth side thins loose undercoat. Curly, non-shedding doodle coats trap fur rather than drop it, so a slicker and regular trims suit them better.

How much hair will this actually pull out, and will it stop my dog shedding?

Expect a visible pile of loose undercoat after a couple of minutes with the seventeen-teeth side. Our rake thins a shedding coat; it does not clip fur or stop shedding, so plan on short, regular sessions.

Can I use the rake and grooming mitts on my cat as well as my dog?

Yes, our rake and grooming mitts work on cats too, lifting loose fur from both pets. The five-finger mitts reach tricky spots a brush misses, and the finely rounded teeth take out shed hair without scratching.

Will this work on a nervous dog who hates being brushed?

Many anxious dogs accept our gloves more readily than a brush, because the five-finger design feels like petting. Start with a gentle pamper session, adjust the wrist strap for a secure fit, then introduce the rake once your dog settles.

Is the rake safe for puppies and sensitive skin, or will the teeth scratch?

Our rake's teeth are sharpened but finely rounded, so they lift mats and loose hair without scratching or irritating skin. Work in light strokes on puppies and sensitive areas, letting the teeth glide through the coat.
