These cameras are incredible! We have had 3 Blink Outdoor 4 cameras for over a year now and they reach about 200 feet from our house with the regular sync module. I decided to purchase two more with the XR Sync Module to see if they would work at the distances advertised. I have to say I’m blown away by their performance on XR+. They are well worth it for us even with XR+ having a saver option as the only selectable video quality and no use of the microphones. I installed one at our gate which is 532’ from our house where the sync module is plugged in and one at our barn which is 295’ away through a lot of trees. They were super easy to install. There is a XR option that allows standard HD video quality but ours had to be on the XR+ option to connect at the distance I placed them but they still show 2 bars of connectivity to the sync module so I could probably go even further with them if I needed to. Both cameras pick up motion well both day and night and the video quality is pretty good for being in saver mode. I still can’t believe they work so far away and it’s nice to have extra security on our acreage. Now I know when I have packages or mail delivered or if something is in our barn that shouldn’t be such as coyotes or bobcats. I’m always checking them and the batteries are still going strong. I wanted to purchase 2 more cameras with the XR module but there was a limit of one purchase because of the Prime Day deal. I will definitely be purchasing them again next year because there are other spots I’d like to put cameras up that are further away than the regular sync module can handle. I’ll attach pictures to show how far they are from our house and some of the night and day image quality. I used the measure tool on Google Earth for measurements. I highly recommend them!

These have worked great outside with our set up. They are about 200 feet from the "base" and still are extremely functional and captures everything we need. The batteries have not needed to be changed yet and we've had them going nightly for a few weeks. The cameras have been knocked around a bit & they have held up great. We do have them mounted with magnetic mounts. Night vision is great. I like the feature you can set individual cameras for motion. I wish we could schedule the timing to arm the cameras, however. I do wish when reviewing the clips, you could make a note on that individual clips. But overall, great cameras. I've bought 2x now & very happy.

I’ve used Blink cameras before and previously had the standard Blink Outdoor 3. They worked fine overall, but I consistently ran into connectivity issues when the signal had to pass through concrete walls. That’s been a non-issue with the Outdoor 4 XR. I installed these in similar locations, and the connection has been noticeably more stable. Motion alerts come through reliably, and the video feed loads quickly without dropouts. Setup was straightforward, battery life has been solid so far, and the video quality is clear enough for monitoring entrances and outdoor areas. The improved range and connection strength are what really stand out compared to my older setup. If you’re already in the Blink ecosystem and had range or connectivity problems with earlier models, this is a clear upgrade and an easy recommendation.

Update. So far, all I can say is they are all right. Set up was a bit of a hassle with communication to the Sync Module being inconsistent. The Blink App also didn't help, getting stuck while setting up the Sync Module. It eventually resolved. Cameras seem good, and adding them to the network with the Sync Module was fairly easy. I am impressed that Energizer batteries were provides with them instead of offbrand batteries that usually are crap, so definitely cannot complain about that. Especially since a lot of devices no longer come with batteries when they are required. I am also impressed with the Infrared capabilities of the cameras. I have changed my rating to 4 stars from 1.
