Needed some more space on my PS5, as some of you will know the internal SSD on the PlayStation is just not enough when you have the likes of GTA V or Call of Duty installed. I’m not as tech savvy as I used to be and always held back on the idea of messing around with things like SSD and anything that resembles circuitry as I’m notorious for breaking things. However, I was fed up with having to constantly delete games so I went ahead and ordered the 1TB SSD on sale (£54.98) and it has been well worth the purchase! Firstly it only took like 5 minutes to install, that’s including attaching a heat sink (has to be bought separately and is suggested for use inside PS5), watching YouTube tutorials and fiddling around taking the PS5 apart, you literally slot it in like an old school memory card and secure it in place with one little screw, done. Seems more than fast enough, took 60 seconds to move 100gb of data over to it and loads up GTA at least twice as fast and the internal SSD would! Also the PS5 reads the usable storage as exactly 1TB so bang on. Time will tell if it lasts without slowing down but it’s been about a week so far and zero complaints. So if you’re like me and have been constantly deleting games to reinstalling them to manage the poor storage on your PS5, I would definitely recommend this!

I bought this for my ps5 as Sony recommends a heatsink if adding an SSD to increase your internal storage copacity so after a little research I bought this, although availability was also a factor as when ps5 compatible ssd's go on sale, both ssd's and relevant heatsinks sell out fast! It came with spare screws, heat pads, instructions and best of all a magnetised screw driver which was very handy.... Setup was fairly quick, and installation into my ps5 was a perfect fit. And since installation I've had zero problems so presumably it's doing its job perfectly too. For a ps5 compatable heatsink for any compatable ssd's that go on sale I can easily recommend this product - spares for everything, fits my ps5 and does what it needs to. Great job.

Used this heatsink with a Lexar NQ790 to add additional storage to a Playstation 5. The heatsink was easy to install and fits correctly in the PS5 nvme bay, I have had no overheating issues with my drive and it was good value for the cost.

It was easy to install and it works like a charm. Now my PS5 is cool and quiet, and I can enjoy my games without any distractions. The best part is that the heatsink also doubles as a toaster. I can make delicious toast while playing my favorite games. It’s a win-win situation. The only downside is that the toast sometimes gets stuck in the vents, but that’s a minor issue. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves gaming and toast.

Bought this item specifically to use with a Gen4 M.2 SSD for the PS5. Assembling the heatsink with the M.2 drive was mostly fine but the heat absorbing pads are a bit finiky/sticky, making it difficult to peel the protective plastic and keeping it in place. Luckily, they provide 3 pads to use if one of them goes wrong. Also as a bonus, they give you an extra screw for the heatsink, an M.2 screw (to fit on a mobo) and a free screwdriver in the box! I must warn you however, there are no assembly instructions so please refer to a youtube video (which is what I did). At the end of the day though, it does its job and fits in the PS5.

I have now brought 3 of these It arrives in the simple branded box on removing your meet with everything you need to get going I have to say I'm might impressed as for a £7.99 (what I paid for it) heatsink it's kept my 980 Pro 1 TB NVME pretty cool. Well, at average temps of 47 degrees celcius and max operating temps of 52 degrees celcius (regardles of ambient temps) in comparison to potential ran away temps at 80 degrees plus... it's pretty cool lol but this also depend on the type of case and fans your running, my set up is the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB with which im running 4 Corsair iCUE LL120 RGB LED PWM plus 2 in the liquid cooling for my CPU Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler allowing for max air flow. These are well made and very lightweight, they are durable and really easy to install, once your drive is in and you have applied the thermal pads and locked the parts in place with the screws provided your all good to go. Highly recommended, at the time of writing this review the price is 7.99 and even at the price I still recommend it.

Great product, well made and looks nice. Ideal for adding a SSD to PS5 (I fitted a Seagate Firecuda 530) and it went in very well. Easy to install also If you need a heat sink for your PS5, BUY THIS ONE!

Installed today so long term use isn't considered. SSD used: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB for the PS5 It doesn't come with installation instructions but as others have mentioned, there are a number of YouTube videos on how to install it. All parts were present with spare screws and a spare thermal pad. There are alignment slots on it to ensure you line up the heat sink compartments correctly before screwing it together. The provided screwdriver will also work on the screws in the PS5 needed to fit it if you don't already have one. I had to trim a small section off one of the thermal pads as it was poking out of the end of the sink. But this was before I added the SSD so there were no issues. The size of the sink also allows the PS5 SSD bay lid to be put back on once installed. Some larger sinks won't allow this and dependant on what you read online this is either very important or not required. I went with putting it back on. You can read about how the fan uses negative pressure to make your mind up if you want to leave it off or not. The PS5 picked it up after the first attempt at installation. As simple as you can get really and I'm useless at fiddly things.

Fits my 4TB Silicon Power 4TB UD90 NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD perfectly. Easy to install with clear (but tiny) instructions. Bless them for including extra screws, which fit both the heat sink assembly and the hold-down at the "other end" of the SSD. So far, temperature has been perfectly steady at 36C. Well made, looks good, fair price.

My Samsung 980 runs reasonable cool EXCEPT when I'm backing up my C drive. Then the temp (at the hot point) zooms from 115-120f to 175-180f! Installed this and the highest temp ranges from 135-151f. That's a fantastic improvement. The initial performance actually got better after a few days. Perhaps the thermal pad was still settling in? Installation was easy. I watched a video on a generic SSD heat sink install and this heat sink was built the same way. The instructions that came with it... well, I'm glad I watched the video! Comes with 2 extra screws, an extra thermal pad and a magnetic tip screwdriver. And I'm clumsy enough I had use the mag tip to fish out a screw that bounced into a hard to reach place. EXTREMELY happy with this. Heh, the 'extra' thermal pad is likely for 2-sided SSDs

I bought this heatsink for my Samsung 980PRO 2TB SSD in my PS5. It fits perfectly and a quick YouTube search will show you how to put it all together. My only criticism is that 2 of the 6 side set screws don't thread to anything. it still has 4 screws that work, and the unit is still solid, but it would be nice to have the product fit together as intended. I have no idea how well this thing actually performs, but I didn't have any issues loading/playing PS5 games on my SSD so it clearly helps with heat distribution. I would recommend this product. One note about the shipping though, it took a LONG time for it to get to Canada from China. They use SFExpress to ship, which I had never heard of, and they don't tell you where in Canada your product is. They just say 'in transit' and won't update the tracking ID for days at a time.
