Is this blade a thin kerf

It’s relatively a thin kerf, 0.098" or just a hair more than 3/32 of an inch

Is there a reason why this cant be used in a 12" compound miter saw? Dewalt 718 to be exact.

Beside you are loosing some cutting capability I don´t see why not; you might check if all the saw´s protections guards still works properly and that the blade speed, rpm, of your miter saw against the blade´s rpm matches

Will this be good for treated lumber?

I have used this saw blade for several years. I have also used it to cut treated lumber and did not notice any unusual dulling of the blade. I would also advise you use a quality respirator and goggles when cutting treated lumber.
