Healthguard Cromolyn Sodium Nasal Solution - .88 oz, Pack of 6

I was happy I could get multiples of this product, and it works fine. 25 years ago, a doctor told me that cromolyn sodium works for 60% of the people, and it needs to build up a level in your body to be effective. (That was probably from research on the original product.) It works for me and is the only thing that helps keep my throat clear, though it is a nasal spray.

i never usually review products but this one is too good! i hope it's always affordable. it's the cheapest i can find. it helps with my nasal congestion and preventing allergies and sneezing in the spring time. however, if you have severe chronic nasal congestion and allergies this probably will only help a little bit, you need to add more nasal sprays (steroid and potentially a prescription antihistamine nasal spray like patanase or astelin/astepro). i used to use it 3-5 times a day and when my allergies is better i cut down to just one spray to each nostril each day. the only downsides is it leaves a white residue around my nostril . it's not visible right away. one time i went out and my then bf asked if i was snorting coke :(. you can easily wipe it way before you go out

I have a Mast Cell disease, meaning I take medications to block these overactive mast cells. Cromolyn sodium is one such medicine. The quantities that I must take, though, means I go through a bottle pretty quickly. The name brand product is roughly twice the price. Having a larger quantity allows me to keep them in several places, too, which helps me when I need extra in a reaction.I did my research, too, since generics of this product aren't really out there everywhere. This particular generic is made by Bausch & Lomb (who pretty much everyone has heard of) and is usually found in hospitals and other large-scale institutions where they have to supply medications to patients. It is a US based company that has a huge generic offering business to such facilities. That alone gave me peace of mind that it wasn't some imported stuff.As for me, it works great. I have gone through at least 8 bottles at this point and can comfortably say it is the same product as its name brand competitor. I am about to place a 3rd order for a 6 pack.**UPDATE 1/2020** I finally got my insurance to pay for some through my local pharmacy... for one whole month... and it's the EXACT same bottle. I've order these at least 5 times at this time and I am still very happy with the product!

I use this daily all year. Allergic to most things that grow - so my seasonal allergies are never gone!! This is a preventative, used before being exposed. Don't have to treat stuffy nose or decoration because it doesn't happen!

I love this nasal spray. I cannot use nadal steroids, and I tried this instead. I use it 4 times a day, but I don't care if I have to use it 4 times because it does not cause any irritation like other nasal steroids. My nose does not make a trumped sound anymore! Plus, this seller offers a great value. Nasalcrom is almost $5 more expensive than these. I have one bottle on my nightstand and another one on my desk, so I don't have to go upstairs. Very satisfied!

This is an older drug, but it works as well or better than all of the new high priced stuff. Also, it stops itching of bug bites if sprayed on them. I use it whenever the allergy seasons start in spring and fall and it normally gives me relief without adding a pill. What I like about sprays is that they work very quickly, and go to the problem immediately. I often have eye itching when allergies strike and rubbing this on the outside of the eylid helps relieve that. Do not spray it into your eyes! Just rub on lid to help stop the itch and spray in nose. The back of my mouth sometimes itches too, and spraying it into the mouth works and does not taste too bad. Salty but not bitter like some others. I have use this for about 20 years or more.

I've been using Nasalcrom (the brand name for cromolyn sodium spray) for many, many years, and find it's very effective at controlling my seasonal nasal allergies. But Nasalcrom has recently become nearly impossible to find in stores, and while Amazon carries it, it ain't cheap. I tried the Healthguard generic product and as far as I can tell, it's identical to the brand-name product: it smells identical, works just as well, and even comes in an identical bottle right down to the color of the locking collar. But the Healthguard product is a fraction of the price of the brand-name Nasalcrom. I'll be ordering this one from now on!
