Swish Sologlyde 275cm White Plastic Wall Mounted Curtain Track

When fitting a bay, being able to fit and refit the track by locking and unlocking the support levers speeds things up massively. The reason is that it is a bit of a trial and error job and it speeds up offering up and locking the track into position. It can help to use bits of coloured masking tape to mark where the track lines up with a bracket, where a curve needs adjustment or to finally mark where to cut the track. The levers save screwing and unscrewing numerous dovetail screws each time with a long track flapping about. Big plus. Another big plus is my 2.75m track came in one piece. It came in a very large thick polythene bag – it was curled in a horseshoe shape which was not a problem. The plastic version is easy to straighten, form into different angles or even easy to gently reform. My 2.75m track came with only 8 brackets which is OK for a straight track. The number you get depends on your track length. You can find a table of length vs fittings in the instructions – search for “Sologlyde fitting instructions” (pdf) in your browser. Following the instructions I need 13 supports for my 5 sided bay so I had to buy extra supports at the time of purchase. My old (similar) track was fitted professionally with 13 too. Note – be prepared to apply a tiny smear of something like silicon lubricant to the top and bottom edges of the track, particularly if you hang a curtain from the eyelets on the gliders. If not the gliders may skew on the track and jam. I had to periodically use some silicon grease to my old track too. I have read too that reviewers have used the same trick with the deluxe track. PS if you shorten with a hacksaw you’ll need to neaten up the edge as the end fittings do not cover or obscure the cut edge. You’ll get burrs you’ll have to remove and you’ll need a small fine file or other tool to finish (actually disposable nail files would help if you haven’t got many tools).

Great quality product. Easy to install.thw only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it needs 4 end stops and is only supplied with 2. There's nothing to stop the curtains for sliding right the way across unless I have missed something?

Item arrived well packaged and intact. It's ideal for our window as it's quite wide and I was comtemplating having 2 rails, joined together. Package came with all the fixtures and fittings required to assemble and was more than adequate. Already had the drilled holes in place so slightly easier. The rail is very sturdy once in place - quite long so did have a little difficulty getting the first couple of fixings attached but once they were in place it was very straightforward. I noticed a few comments regarding the ease of the glide so I was going to polish. However, this doesn't seem to be problem, although the curtains will stay open most of the time as it's a spare bedroom. Very pleased with my purchase. It was slightly more expensive than some other shops but, in the current climate, the others weren't offering delivery or collection. Also happy to pay a little bit extra to the smaller companies as these are the ones who may struggle more through lack of business during lockdown.

Swish quality has really gone downhill over the years. I have some Swish track from years ago and the difference is really obvious. The plastic used is of a lesser quality and is a lot thinner. It does the job well enough but it's such a shame that the quality has deteriorated over the years.

have taken down inferior track and put up the sologlyde track, perfect and smooth running, although i found the fitting clips fiddly but once mastered, all was well, great for taking round corners and bay windows.

Unexciting product but nevertheless easy to fit . Not much more to say really

Easy to install even for a DIY novice. Works perfectly and compatible with most curtains. Easy to get spares now and on the future. Lose one star for not supplying enough hooks with set in my opinion so have to buy more!

I have no dislikes I fact we love them, I fitted a length of 2" X 1" above window and screwed the rail supports too it, this made an easer fix rather than drilling and raw plugging the wall the rail then was fitted and a amount of Vaseline was run along the rail and this made a smooth run for the curtain hook
