Definite a must for game room. Allows you to plug in a ton more
First thing i will say is to be aware this DOES NOT work for plugging in one HDMI device to five HDMI monitors. This allows you to plug in five devices into one HDMI television. That being said this HDMI switch is relatively a good device to have IF you have more than three devices. Honestly if you are only plugging two or three you can get a different one. For me I really like to have the extra ports as I have a few gaming stations that I want to plug in and this works great for my new 4k televisions. Please note that this will work with any TV that has an HDMI port on it. The one thing I really like about it is that it has a small remote to make it easier to switch between HDMI ports. The remote is very basic however I am not a fan of the white. It gets noticeable dirty over time and I have only had it for a few days. It also has to be in line of sight in order to work with the HDMI switch. The remote runs on CR2025 battery which most of these small remote controls tend to run on. It has the five additional HDMI ports and they are numbered so you can know which one you are plugging into. Note that one of the HDMI ports is actually on the side. Be careful not to mix up the output and input as they are on either end. It will last for quite some time considering you only use it to change the HDMI channel and that is just one button pressing at a time. You can either scroll through the channels or select the channel you want. There is a button on the device itself if you are close by so you can just adjust the HDMI port number on the device if needed. It requires a power plugs (USB Power will work) to power it which I do recommend using. If you try to run it without it, it will either not work or shut off randomly as it tends to be a bit low on power. It does not come with a power brick so you will need to buy that if you do not have a usb port on your TV to plug it in. I recommend using the television usb if possible as it really does limit the amount of outlets you take up. The picture quality does not seem to be changed at all or least I did not notice any changes. It provides my 4K tv the same quality if it was plugged into the TV directly. I am able to plug additional game consoles to my television which is awesome. I have multiple gaming consoles I wanted to plug into my TV without needing to switch it out all the time. It also does not come with an HDMI cable so you will need an additional HDMI cable from your TV to the switch. It can provide you up to five additional ports. The one down side of having ports on either end is that it is a bit harder to keep the cable management clean. I would recommend if possible to just tape the switch down to the surface to keep it from moving. Overall this product works really well for me and works very well for 4K TVs. I am able to plug in more device into the TV (ps3, xbox one, xbox 360, ps4, and switch) and also it blends in pretty well with my television and stand. I usually just put it right below my TV in line of sight as you will not be able to change it otherwise. The device does not get super hot or anything when in use. It is pretty well built and made of aluminum I will say. There are also small LED light indicators to show what HDMI port you are currently on.

Auto switching is convenient
I bought this to replace a similar (4HDMI in) unit which I bought from a big box store a year and a half ago for about the same price. That one never had the auto switching function work and HDMI input #1 always had issues. This new one has 5 input ports (4 on back, one on side) instead of four which is great, but best of all: the flipping auto-switch actually works! So now when I start the playstation, I don’t have to get up and press the button to switch inputs. Yes, this unit has a remote but I tend to misplace remotes so I keep it by the unit. (I know, defeats the purpose). The picture is great, but it was with my old unit too. It has blue lights to indicate when it has power, when it is sending a signal, and what input is on. I don’t have a 3D TV/player so I cannot attest to that part. So far, no issues with any of the inputs either. I wish I bought this instead of the other one but I thought buying from a big box store would result in a better product for some reason

Works as advertised after a little work
Used this to connect my Sony PS3 and PS4 as well as my PC to the same port on my TV. At first it did not send any video to my TV from my PS4 and was causing screen flickering from my PS3, but after switching around ports and HDMI cables, I eventually found a configuration it liked and worked. All of my cables work when directly connected from console to TV, so this device was obviously having some issues. Overall, once the product was working, it works well. Having both a button on the device and a remote to switch, as well as a smart switch to only change to active ports is very nice. Build quality is also good, as is the display in the front. Good product when you get it to like your set up.

Easy to Use
I love that I haven't needed the remote so far. It switches to the device I turned on automatically. Now if you have something like a streaming device that is always on, then you may need the remote which is not hard to use.

Piece of junk - I HATE it! (Updated)
This thing - ON ITS OWN - will power on other HDMI devices connected to it and switch to that device and sometimes go to the next device. I have a DVR, a region free DVD, a Blu-Ray player and a 'spare' cable to (rarely) plug into my laptop - connected to this. I use the DVR the most and EVERY TIME I am trying to select a program on it, this damned thing powers on and switches to the Blu-Ray player and then some times moves on to the DVD player. Because I don't want to re-cable everything (and the fact I have ordered a manual switch to replace this piece of junk) I only have the DVR plugged into it. /sarcasm font on/ With only one input it works fine. -/sarcasm font off/ When it *finally* settles on an input the picture quality and sound are fine, but it is such a pain to use it was a total waste of money.Update: The vendor offered to replace the unit at no charge to see if a second unit would work better, but I had already ordered a manual switch so I declined. Therefore CUSTOMER SERVICE gets ***** Five Stars.

Wow! 😍
My tv was expensive when I bought it, even though it was on sale. And to make matters worse, it only has 2 hdmi ports. I was so tired of having to unplug things just to switch between my devices depending on what I wanted to use. Wether it was my dvd player, my fire stick, or my hyperkin supa retron hd. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I bought this hoping for that to finally change. Soooooooooo glad I did! It worked straight out of the box! Everything is plugged in and working perfectly. I’m sooooooooo happy! Thank you for making a great product! Great job! Buying a second one for my bff for his devices. Also, for anyone reading this, make sure you purchase a premium hdmi cable to run from the back of your tv to this product. Everything is that much better, picture quality and all! I haven’t noticed the sleep function work yet, I’ll edit my review when it does.
