My son was weak on negative numbers and other basic concepts. Also, he is fluent in speaking English and can read, but he doesn't know mathematics terminology in English because he has only attended Japanese schools. So this is a great book for him. He is 13 and said it's easy to understand and the diagrams are attractive. We bought a used copy but it is in almost new condition.

Middle schoolとありますが、内容は日本では６年までの受験レベル。帰国枠で英語で算数のテストを受ける方や、海外英語圏やインターに通っている方が自学するのにオススメ。図も多くてわかりやすい。このシリーズのworld history,scienceも面白いですよ。

easy to use

新品とは思えません。Usedであっても酷い。返品です。

米国の中学校向けの数学の参考書である。日本の中学とは学年が違うが、２次方程式の根の公式も出てこない。ピタゴラスの定理の証明も皆無。よって、日本の学校では役立たない。数学用語が英語で何と表現するかとか、など限定的な利用となろう。
