These are so good. A bit expensive but what protein product isn’t? And honestly they’re worth the price because I have such a hard time hitting my protein goals and eating these donuts make it 100x easier. They also make a great healthy treat for the whole family. My 8yr old son loves these and so do I! I struggle to hit my protein intake daily but w these it makes it a whole lot easier. They are great for breakfast, snack, dessert, or even a sweet treat. You do not get that artificial aftertaste you get from most of these imitation protein desserts. The only rant I have is that they should advertise these as cake donuts because the taste and texture are not like that of a regular, traditional donut. I bought these expecting the traditional donut taste and consistency and was sad they were not but honestly the sadness lasted about 1 second because how delicious they are. These with some ice coffee in the morning is just bliss. Also you can make some pretty cool high protein desserts with these. In all 9.5/10.

I have never written a review before but I had to share my major disappointment with this product. They taste awful! The only thing resembling a doughnut is the shape. Absolutely nothing redeeming about them. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. I can’t believe I spent $30 on these. Such a waste of money since they will go straight into the trash!

I was a little hesitant ordering this because most protein products have a chalky taste. This are absoultly amazing. Obviously not as fluffy as a regular donut but the cinnmon one reminds me of me of coffee cake. They are a bit on the pricey side but it is worth it because of the nutritional value and taste.

If you go into it with real donuts in mind you’ll be disappointed. But for protein treats they’re not bad. I’d say the “bread” part has the best texture of any Legendary product. The frosting however is way too sweet. It’s too sweet in all the flavors not just this one. That being said the price here is unnecessarily high. They’re a third the cost in the big box store and “fresher”’tasting. The ones I got here tasted stale so idk if they’re older or Amazon just stores them poorly.

Taste: 5/5 - they are obviously not donuts, but for a healthy snack with a good amount of protein, these are extremely good. Texture: 4/5 - again, they're not real donuts (I've seen people comparing them which is ridiculous). the texture is more like cake. Value: 3/5 - if you can get these on sale or with the subscription discount, they become a good value for what you get. Otherwise, I'd say it's very expensive. Overall: 3/5 - As much as I enjoy the taste of these, the amount of erythritol in them is bound to cause some major side effects even for those with iron stomachs. 15 grams is a large amount for a single sitting and for me personally, caused digestive issues throughout the entire day. I am typically not sensitive to sugar alcohols, but if you are, definitely avoid this.

UPDATE: The company reached out to offer a solution, which is very thoughtful, as these products are expensive. i’ve never had a company do that, especially not in this day and age. i feel like updating my review to add some more context, because my initial wording seems a little misleading and careless. I’m a returning customer, since around 2021, when they started selling in my local area. Throughout 2025, i was actually getting a few boxes weekly and pretty much lived off of them, because i was working absurdly long hours in the city. I have tried almost everything, (i have yet to try the chips) and my favorite is the blueberry protein pastry. In the last 5-ish years, i’ve never had an issue with them, so i can vouch for this company always meeting my expectations. Bodies are quite complicated, sometimes we don’t stomach something we’ve eaten our whole lives! i don’t think it’s anyone’s fault. Just an unfortunate mishap that i quickly recovered from. Thank you, Legendary Foods, you're the only company I'm loyal to. I swear, i only see quest nutrition like three times a year. she means nothing to me. OLD REVIEW: my friends, if you have a sensitive stomach, this product MIGHT not be for you. i’ve been stuck in the bathroom for an hour. but! for the taste, texture, macros, and portion size, i’m sayin it’s worth it. they’re about the size of your palm, and they do not skimp on the icing. they’re just the right amount of chewy, without being rubbery or artificial. as always, they’re significantly better than any other protein product you’ll find. The cal/protein ratio is great (180 calories to 22g protein per package, which contains 2 donuts.) Taste wise, I prefer the chocolate, because the cinnamon is VERY cinnamon-y. It’s also surprisingly filling, but not in a bloating way. Also! they arrived fresh, far from expiration, well packaged, and completely in tact. the rest of the box was enjoyed by my family, who did not experience any of the digestive issues that i did. No food went to waste.

I will say the consistency of the cake donut part of it is actually pretty good. But there is definitely, in my opinion, a chemical taste to the donut as a whole. Not sure if that is coming from the so-called topping or the cake itself. For the price of these, I would not buy again. I love the idea of the high fiber high protein, but it still needs some work and price alone would not stop me from buying these if they were delicious.

I had to throw these out. I don’t like these kind of donuts, but I bought them for my grandmother because she’s on a low carb meal plan for diabetes and she also is missing quite a few teeth so I thought they would be soft for her to eat, but she couldn’t stand them so we threw them away.
