Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I (2.8mm) 8MP Ultra-Low Network Network Tower Camera with SD Card Slot, White

This is monitoring my front garden overseeing the cars and drive. The quality is very good and number plates can be read from cars parked on the other side of the road. It’s very good at balancing very bright scenes when the sun is out to show detail in dark shadows without bleaching out the bright areas. It also doesn’t get spiders webs across it like my bullets cameras do.

Excellent camera. A little larger than hoped for but fulfills requirement. Will be mounted in eaves of house up high and gives a decent overview with adequate detail however even at 4K the digital zoom leaves a lot to be desired. My garden isn't very long (15m) but this seems to be at the extremes of the camera's focal length in full 8MP resolution, from a height of approx 6m with the 2.8mm lens. I did ask if this could be supplied in dark grey, and seller responded that it could be however they did not list this version of the item and so unfortunately my only option was to purchase in white. I'll need to buy the remainder of my cameras in grey from another seller.

Awesome camera, however, HikVision cameras feature a locking mechanism - 6 failed attempts and it locks the camera. To unlock it, you have to install a tool that generates a file to send to HikVision, and they send a file back that unlocks it..... but only if you bought it from an authorised vendor. If you didn't, you have to spend hours begging and pleading for it to be unlocked anyway. To make matters worse, I think they default on your network to be outwardly facing (probably to support mobile app usage), which means anyone who comes across that certain port on your IP address gets to the page to try to log in (and locks it) - I've assumed this because, every time it happened, I hadn't even tried to log into it. If you're network skills are good, you can probably work out how to prevent that - mine aren't that good though. After numerous locks, i'm giving up and have started searching for a more user friendly brand - hopefully with as good quality as the HikVision camera, as without the security hoops, i'd have given this 5 star!

Incredible quality

Very much plug and play . No problem getting the NVR to communicate. The outer cover ring can be difficult to get on and off but you should only need do it once . It is tight but even with the IP rates RG45 protectors supplied you can get the cables in the back without an additional back box. Rotates on 3 axis and can be flipped in the menu. Night view good but can be reduced if to close to a security light .

j'ai deux de ces caméras branchées en POE et connectées sur mon NAS synology. L'image est excellente de jour comme de nuit. La caméra est reconnue nativement par synology. Le POE fonctionne super bien (j'ai acheté un petit switch 100gb 5 ports) excellent rapport qualité / prix / définition l’application android est bien mais nettement moins bien que celle de synology.

Ottimo prodotto. Sono passato dalle telecamere più commerciali a questa che reputo si collochi tra prodotti più professionali e devo dire che ha davvero un'ottima qualità video e un'ottima interfaccia che permette un facile utilizzo e configurazione. Io la utilizzo alimentata PoE e va benissimo.

Bild m.E. sehr O.K.. Ein Teil der Optionen ist bei mir nur mit Chrome "sichtbar" (abspielen der Aufnahmen von einer SD Karte). Kann aber auch an "mir" liegen. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden. Zur Info: das Ding ist m.E. beheizt, was m.E. so sein sollte (mir ist das sehr recht). Die Info dazu ist mir bei der Suche anscheinend entgangen oder das ist mittlerweile Standard.

La 8k si vede davvero bene, come solito Hikvision non tradisce, rapporto prezzo qualità elevatissimo, ora ho solo questa marca montata a casa e nessun problema se non alcune funzioni speciali del videoregistratore, sempre Hikvision, per ora trascurabili.
