The Coldest Water Insulated Standard Mouth Size 2.0 - Hydro Sports Straw Cap Flip Top Lid - Multi-Compatible with Standard Flask Mouth Size Stainless Steel Water Bottles

We've purchased the Standard fliptop lid on many occasions because we like them better than the lids that come on our Hydroflask water bottles. We have bought them via Amazon and The Coldest website. Recently, I had my standard fliptop lid break at the base. I had not bumped it nor dropped it. I noticed a gap and merely went to tighten it and it was broken. I went on the website to purchase another white lid only to find that I was having extreme difficulties navigating the website (which I'm not saying is their fault) and then finally discovered that they don't have the white lid in stock and were not able to tell me when they would again. Our past experiences have been more than satisfactory with the Coldest standard flip top lid though this time has been very disappointing. I'll just purchase a different color. I recommend these lids and hope that this situation gives them feedback for improvement. Have a great year.

I've been using my hydro flask bottle for several months and has been great. However, the regular cap that comes with the bottle makes a lot of noise when opening and closing. It is also a bit tough to drink out of when walking or doing anything active (it'll just spill everywhere). I was looking at the hydro flask sport cap and was turned off by the bad reviews of it leaking. I saw this "The Coldest Water" straw cap as a "frequently purchased" product and saw the good reviews. Decided to give it a try. As usual, amazon shipping is great and received it in 2 days. I received instructions from the seller on how to cut and insert the straw a day before so I had an idea what to expect. When I received it, i gave it a quick wash (please wash it because the rubber tip has a slight manufacture scent to it, which I expected). I cut the straw to size at an angle. The straw is soft enough to cut but hard enough to last. The package also came with 2 straws as well as a straw cleaner. I inserted the straw into the rubber straw holder on the cap and screw it on my bottle. Immediately, I tried the leak test by turning it upside down, shaking it, etc. No leaks. I've been using it for 2 days now and have not leaked on me. One major "bad" thing I noticed is the tip is a little tight to rotate out to start drinking. There is a little plastic platform where you can use your finger to push down but takes a bit of finesse. I wish there was a mechanism that would allow easier rotation as well as prevent touching the tip with your fingers. Some smaller things I found is there is a loud "suction" sound when you finish your sip but I assume this would be the case for any "suction/straw" caps. Also I noticed I need to suck a little harder when the bottle is full. I wouldn't remove 1-star from the cap from these "issues" though. Still a great cap so far.

I needed to replace the flip flip top on my half gallon Coldest jug and it fit perfectly! This is my only water bottle brand.

I've owned several products from this company, and generally, they're built like tanks. Sure, if you drop them on pavement or concrete they'll dent or scratch, but they still keep performing like no other bottles I've ever used. I bought this lid back when it launched in August 2018, after owning the earlier version, and this one is much improved. Unfortunately, I had a problem with the mouthpiece getting misaligned, so that sometimes nothing would come out, so I emailed the company with a picture of what was happening. Within 24 hours, they had a new one and a spare on the way to me without any further questions. If you're on the fence, give this lid a try. It's well-made, has a lifetime guarantee, and I know first-hand that they stand behind their products and their guarantee. And if you haven't tried their bottles yet - get one as soon as possible. I can't imagine any other bottle outperforming these things. The larger ones are kind of spendy (although I'm quite sure you get what you pay for), but the 21 and 32 oz bottles are pretty reasonable. I have both of those sizes - my personal preference is the smaller one, but that's just me - both are great bottles. Also, once you've bought from them and you're "in the club", so to speak, they'll send you a discount code that's good on all future Coldest purchases at Amazon.

i think it works great! i didn’t want to pay for the hydro flask brand name cap, and this one had good reviews so i bought it. i’ve had it for about 4 months now and it is completely leak proof you just have to make sure you screw it on tightly. My only issue is that sometimes it is hard to drink from it. you have to really suck to get the water out. i think i’ve come to the conclusion that after washing, if the cap is not dried completely, including the little cracks, the left over water prevents the cap from working properly. you just have to blow out the extra water. I like how there are 2 straws that come with it and even a little cleaner. the bristle cleaner is so useful! there’s a lot of gunk that comes out when i clean it! you can cut the straws to whatever size you need and it is easy to install. The little square handle kind of hurts my hand when i’m holding it, and the clip it comes with isn’t very sturdy and came off (and i lost it) after about a week. I replaced the bad clip with one of my own and it fixed that issue! overall, although this isn’t THE BEST product out there, it does the job and i’m satisfied, especially for the price! i recommend :)

I love the coldest water container itself, but this lid, so far, has been horrible! The first one I had fell from my waist height and exploded in half. It has insulation inside the cap, which is kinda cool, but yeah it just exploded. I contacted Coldest about about, heard back nothing. I bought another cap again. This one came in and does not work properly. When I drink out of it I can only take a small sip before it builds pressure and nothing comes up. If I have a carbonated drink and the straw is closed, when I open it soda shoots out all over everything. I got it all over my laptop!!! Luckily it was the keyboard and has not proven to have damaged anything. I again contacted Coldest about this and have heard NOTHING back from them except an add offering me like 20% buying more from them. I REALLY want to like this cap and this company since their container is really really good, but they are making it VERY hard.

My original coldest bottle didn’t work. I bought a new lid to see if it Was the lids problem. It was, colors don’t match but it works and the coldest bottle is the best I have ever had so I guess I can put up with the mismatch. Before you tell me about the warranty…If you don’t have an original order number from them they won’t let you register your product let alone fix any problems. Product is good at keeping things cold, lids are 50/50 in my experience, customer service C+ as they were pleasant enough in how They told me too bad for you.

First, I love The Coldest Water bottle. It really does keep your water cold for a long time! I purchased 2. The top on one bottle has been really good, although a bit tough to draw the water. I have had issues with the top of the second bottle however. Two of the tops cracked in the same place. The third top has held up for quite a while, but now it pulls in a lot of air while drinking. It also has started leaking from the top somewhere. I suppose I will order another before long. Shame on me. I think the tops may have been warrantied, but I never registered them.

I've e-mailed the company with no success, so here's my honest review. Every piece inside the plastic bag is suffused with the smell and taste of old, used mint chewing gum. The sipping lid, the plastic straws, the whole contents can't be used. It tastes as bad as it smells. Coolest Water replied to my first e-mail saying rinse the parts in warm water. I did that; then used soapy water, then very hot water, then soaked them in a tub, changing the water every few days. No further response to my e-mails, apart from a daily promotional e-mail saying how great they were, and even after being submerged for over two weeks, the stale mint taste was still too strong to use the lid. Very disappointed, considering the cost and shipping with exchange rate.

Only lasted 2 months then completely split apart. Waste of money.

I’ve had this for just over a couple of weeks now, and use it for my 21 ounce Hydroflask. I’ve had the bottle itself for a while, and used the standard flex cap until replacing it with this. I’ve heard that Hydroflask are making something similar but “official” for the standard width, but it’s taken ages and I didn’t want to wait any more. This replacement screws on in exactly the same way the standard lid does, and works great. You get the lid itself, two plastic straws (you need to measure up and cut them yourself with some scissors so they fit your bottle), and also a cleaning brush which can fit through the drink straw / cap, and through the plastic straws too. It makes cleaning super easy. I’d definitely recommend this to somebody with a standard mouth Hydroflask who is looking for an easy to use straw lid.

The straw seems to be a little too long. Got to cut and measure so that it fits into the coldest water bottle. Suction not as smooth either. But still ok.........

Already had a Hydroflask and couldn’t find a Hydroflask brand straw lid of this type. Nota perfect flush fit but seems to do the job. The blue mouth piece was a little nicked/ discoloured on arrival hence 4 star.
