This is BS. Th as t sub is nothing like the XFL-1044 in the pictures. Amazon better at least take free returns without shipping charges.

The pictures show a XFL model is this to confuse people?

That's the XFL1022. The XD1022 is in the last couple pics. It's a very good driver, at $100, in my opinion, well worth it. In the proper enclosure it'll take 550-600 watts of clean undistorted power all day no problem.

Would an 800wrms amp work with 2 of these

Yes it will work fine. Please make sure to get the amp that have low THD.

What type of box for these speakers?Ported or none ported?

It all depends on what sound you are looking for. SPL is the loud bass that travels a far distance. For that you want a ported box. For SQ (sound quality) you could go with a sealed box. Sealed boxes are smaller than ported boxes. Check the specs on the recommended air space for the sub vs the box you buy. The bass won't travel as far, but it would sound better in an SUV type set up. Correct power and amp set up is also key.
