I’m really enjoying studying and learning from this book. This book is wonderful!

Tagalog for Beginners is an excellent resource for anyone starting their journey in learning Tagalog. The book moves at a comfortable pace, making it easy for beginners to grasp essential vocabulary and grammar without feeling overwhelmed. Explanations are clear and concise, breaking down language concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand and apply. One of its standout features is the included audio files, which are incredibly helpful for pronunciation practice and listening comprehension.

This book is perfect for me as an upper-beginner who understands a lot of the grammar concepts already, however, if you are a self-learner, there are grammar explanations but they tend to follow the activities where you are expected to apply them and do not go into much depth. This book works great for someone who has completed a course such as Pimsleur, and wishes to take their knowledge to an intermediate level. Simple concepts are not given as much time as they should in order to classify this as a beginner level textbook.

As others have stated this is not for beginners. No pronunciation help and not enough word translations. Gives greetings to practice but does not provide the translations for all the words used.
