Skechers for Work Women's Ghenter Bronaugh Work and Food Service Shoe

I got these shoes in the mail today right before my waitressing shift. I wore them for 6 hours, and I've come to the conclusion that I love these! First of all, the design is sleek and modern, and looks great overall, especially for non-slip shoes which tend to be clunky and big. Second, I had absolutely no problems sliding around, in contrast to my other plain shoes, even walking through puddles of water. The comfort level is also good. Personally, I'm not used to shoes with thick soles like this, and my feet usually end up hurting. With these, I still felt slight discomfort after hours of constantly walking (mostly due to me just not being used to the style), but it was very mild and not as bad as the discomfort with my athletic shoes. They fit just as expected. Also, the description claims these are very breathable, which is also true. My feet usually get very hot very fast, which can make things really unpleasant. I didn't feel the slightest bit of overheating at all, which was amazing. Overall, these shoes were a great buy, and I would highly recommend them to any other restaurant workers, or anyone who works around wet floors. UPDATE: I have now owned these shoes for about one year. They have lasted me incredibly well. I'm usually the type of person to wear down and throw away shoes often. After all this time soles are slightly more worn down, and sometimes I have a problem with the tongue sliding to the outer sides of my feet (although that might just be by foot shape/how I walk). At my job, sometimes large amounts of oil will be on the floor, and they do get slippery then, but I've never fallen down with these shoes. I am STILL able to use these and I work 12 hour shifts 4 days a week. They do not even look old or frayed! I'm about to purchase another pair for myself. Extremely satisfied!

I work in a restaurant in a 10 hours shift sometimes, and I can say these are pretty good shoes for work. It is slip resistant, you can clean them easily, and it is comfortable to use all day. They fit incredibly well. I’m normally a size 7, but since I have wide feet, I decided to get the size 7 in wide fit. It feels like a size 7.5. I only have two complaints: 1) is that, although comfortable enough, the insole is hard, and I was expecting it to be very soft like other Skechers I’ve owned. I felt tired the first week I started using these shoes, I guess it was whilst my feet adjusted to them. And 2) they make your feet sweat like crazy, but you don’t really feel it until you get home and take your shoes off, then you feel like your feet are finally breathing through your socks. This is what annoys me the most about it. With my previous trainers they didn’t make me sweat, I needn’t use deodorant powder, and my feet didn’t smell at all. And now with these Skechers, my feet sweat every single day, and make my feet smell even when I dip my feet in deodorant powder to get it between my toes, then put on my socks. It’s crazy how much it makes my feet sweat, however, you don’t feel it until you takes your shoes off. Overall, I do recommend them.

***four month update*** These are the best work shoes I've ever owned. I've been in food service from age 13-23. I've gone through so many pairs, so many trial and errors. I've been working doubles doing carry out during the pandemic, and these shoes have much more support than I originally commented on because normally by the end of a 10-14 hour shift, my feet obviously would be hurting. But by the end of a shift with these shoes, I am almost pain free. That is SO IMPRESSIVE. For the price of these shoes, and for the simple comfy style, these are WINNING. The only complaint I will have is that I've never had a problem with sweaty smelling shoes until these. I will swap that one con for the numerous pros these shoes have. I will continue to wear and replace with these shoes until I leave food service!!! Original review*** I've tried on 7 pairs of non slips so far from prime wardrobe, and these were the winners. I have a M to W foot from heel to toebox so finding shoes that aren't too loose in the heel and don't squish my toes is the worst task on the planet for me. I have settled for these. They aren't absolutely perfect bc of a moderate support not a very awesome support and not the best sweat resistant material for odor, but my feet don't hurt and aren't squished, they're comfy and soft. Compared to the nightmares of shoes I've been dealing with for YEARS, these are fine and im finally not in pain anymore. I just got them, but so far so good.

The shoes were comfortable when I first started wearing them, and they were lightweight for long work shifts. However, after a few months, the cushioning started to flatten and they didn’t provide as much support. They’re still wearable, but I expected them to last longer for the price.

Great and comfortable work shoes! I work in a restaurant and these shoes have saved me multiple times from doing the splits and slipping. I still slip a little but much less than if I were to wear plain sneakers. The shoes are a sleek style and dont make my size 11 feet look bulky which I appreciate! Decently priced. I have not gotten any blisters. Shoes are easy to slip on without undoing the laces everytime but I prefer to re tie them most times. Laces are sturdy. I didn't take pictures yet but can add a few later. I walk to and from work and these shoes are holding up well. The shoe inserts aren't as cushy/soft as I had hoped but still comfortable. I bought some thicker socks and it helps add more cushion. I will absolutely buy this same pair again when these wear out! Try them out. S is a great, and well made brand!
