Not close to real sugar taste
Like many of you, I was looking for a way to enjoy the sweetness of sugar without the insulin spike or overall detriment to my health. After reading multiple reviews on how Organic Stevia in the Raw was ultimately close to the real taste of sugar, I bought a pack to give it a try. My first go was in my coffee, which I usually take black. After using one package, I could hardly tell a sweetness difference, but could very much taste the "metallic" after taste of a zero calorie substitute. I went for another packet thinking it would equal out the aftertaste and it did not. I went ahead and tossed the coffee. I've tried it in tea....nope! And I tried it in some Kool-Aid we had lying around just to see if the hot/cold thing made a difference.....nope! I'm sure for some of you it would be worth the purchase as we all have different levels of tolerance and taste in our food. But, for me, I'm gonna have to deal with the fact that eating a "healthier" diet will have plusses and minuses that I will have to weigh out individually. Moderation will be my key going forward. Bottom line: it's cheap enough to give it a try. You might be like others who really enjoyed it. For me, I'm moving on.

Has it's purpose
I'm not diabetic nor do I have any blood sugar problems. I also do not consume much sugar but wanted to try this in my coffee since I can't seem to shake the sugar & half&half habit when enjoying my brew. I've ended up doing 1tsp of sugar in the raw & 1 packet of Stevia. The Stevia changes the taste drastically if I only use it. I'll probably just go back to sugar since I don't have an overuse sugar problem in my daily world but Stevia is what it is and definitely works to sweeten for those that require less or no sugar. It does however alter the flavor quite a bit.

Stevia Organic Preferred
The organic version of Stevia in the Raw contains real sugar instead of dextrose that is in the non-organic version. Actual source of "dextrose" is the non-organic is not identified. Only cane sugar can be called organic because beet sugar has been deluded with GMOs so much they cannot call it organic. Lot less overall health issues (digestive and assimilation into the body) with organic version.
