Does the job perfect, specially for a new diabetic and finding this all nerve wrecking, it was so easy, and the instructions where spot on, battery life is good, and the speed of the test shows in seconds, nice size to carry around in you’re bag, it comes with a lovely little bag to hold all what it is needed.

My husband has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. I ordered this to test how he is doing after following a new food plan. He and I are so impressed with the product. It is easy to test yourself and takes away that fear that you’re not cutting out the right amount of the bad food. Easy to carry with you and such a good price too. I would recommend this product to everyone starting on this journey. Thank you Amazon.

Couldn't you make the instruction manual any smaller? I mean, I can't read it anyway, so, you know, make it smaller so only kids can read it. readability for the elderly who have never used a machine before? Come on, this is nuts! I'm going to have to buy a magnifying glass before I can safely use it. We are old people; our eyes aren't as good anymore, and you print the booklet in font 0.0001. Wow. It might have been recommended, but the instruction manual is only good for snails that can put their eye right up to the page. As for the machine itself, it gets 10 stars because of its simplicity of use. The batteries need to be bought for this pack, and buy the 1.5V AAA and non-rechargeable ones, okay? Instructions: Set up the lancer by twisting off the round plastic thing. Don't bend it, or you'll break the needle. Pop it in the tube. Put the back on and pull back the rear of the tube to prime the lance. Next, grab a card and whack it in the machine then wipe swab your finger and uce the lancet and punch that waking great hole in your fingertip and ooze your nectar out and with the card still in the machine touch the card with your nectar and it will count down 5 seconds and give you your numbers. Oh, and the pain – even a baby wouldnt cry using this, so why are needles bigger, I ask myself? The machine has other settings and displays, but I just wanted the blood sugar numbers, and it does it all by itself. The card even turns on the machine. I've reviewed my review and have upped it to 4 stars because the machine is a brilliant piece of kit but because of the instructions were printed in the smallest font I've ever seen, it has to lose the one star, as not every old person has the internet to find instructions

I have used the device from VivaChek for several months and now I wanted to save a little money on the teststrips which are from iMDK a bit cheaper. I had only 8 teststrips from the Viva left, therefore my following statistics will be not very powerful and they can't as I don't know which device is closer to the "Gold standard". With the Viva I measured in mmol/L and with the iMDK I measured in mg/dL which can be easily transformed by multiplying the Viva results by 18.02. The picture 1 shows both devices and they look very similar but your teststrips go in on the opposite sides and the iMDK is a tiny bit more bulky. The Viva came with batteries the iMDK without. I measured on 7 days always before breakfast and on day 7 I measured after breakfast again to have at least one higher value in my small data set. The data are in picture 2 and a graph with the values is in picture 3. The results with the Viva are on average by 6.6 mg/dL higher which is statistically not significant (t = 1.79, paired two sample test) and the values correlate with r = 0.9. For me this is a bit informative as I know the iMDK measures on average a bit lower. As my values are in a kind of prediabetes area I can use both devices to control my blood sugar but for an exact test I should see the doctor and go for an HbA1c test at least once a year. If I would have more teststrips for the Viva I would have done a more powerful testing, but for the moment I'll stick to the iMDK device measuring in mg/dL which is more familiar to my doc although she is in the UK where the standard seems to be mmol/dL. It is of note that I measured on both devices at the same time- the clock on the Viva was not set correctly. In conlusion I can't say which of the devices is better as I don't know their accuracy and precision, but both work fine as screening tools.

Simple to use, the lancing device is pain free to use. It counts down and displays the results, the manual says it will also beep at the end of a test but mine doesn't? 77Results displayed quickly. It also has a memory function to record results and view previous ones. Do remember to set the time etc first on the unit.

Amazing price on a solid kit to keep on hand to track diabetic emergencies!

Very easy to use. this is my first glucose monitor due to high A1C and after reading a lot of reviews on many glucose monitors, I settled on this one. Not disappointed and meets all my needs. the test strips are easy to use and the lancets are effective and easy to install and remove. I really like the 150 test strips on 3 individual sealed bottles. The lancets tool has an easy-to-use adjustable depth setting. 2 works just fine for me. The monitor is easy to read, and the countdown makes it easy to see when you can expect results. the error codes are easy to understand from the manual. I got an error code the first time due to insufficient blood sample. Then when I tried to add more blood, it gave me a contaminated error code. Being the first time required to monitor my blood sugar I'm glad I got these errors out of the way and now know how to properly use. Still don't enjoy the lancets, however I am very pleased with this purchase.

Das IMDK Blutzuckermessgerät habe ich am 22.08. erhalten, mittlerweile mehrfach benutzt und bin sehr zufrieden. Anders als mein 1. Blutzuckermessgerät ist dieses hier einfacher in der Anwendung und hat weniger Fehlermeldungen. Es zeigt schnell in nur 5 Sekunden das Ergebnis an. Die Teststreifen sind sehr stabil und direkt startklar, sobald man sie in das Gerät gesteckt hat. Sie saugen das Blut blitzschnell auf. Das Display ist groß, die Werte gut ablesbar. Datum und Uhrzeit sind nach Anleitung einfach einzustellen. Der Lanzettenstift ist einfach zu bedienen, die Sticheinstellung Stufe 3 ist für mich am besten und nur wenig spürbar. Das Preis- Leistungs -Verhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Ich empfehle dieses Gerät!

Good value produce with clear instructions. I purchased this to verify the accuracy of my continous glucose monitor. It showed that my glucose monitor was consistently recording higher glucose levels than accurate results. This is easy to use, the lancet pen is adjustable, and after determining that the ‘3’ setting was the best for me, i don’t mind the finger sticks at all. My glucose monitor only recorded glucose levels to 70, but not below, this test kit allows me to see how far below 70 my glucose levels were dropping while i slept. I highly recommend this glucose test kit because of its ease of use, and its value. Any one using a continous glucose monitor should have this kit as a way to confirm what your CGM is reporting.
