A must have for your mic locker!
Great microphone for the price! Doesn't sound cheap! I like how the midrange can give presence to a vocal, without having midrange frequencies poking out at you. And the high frequencies aren't boosted to simulate expensiveness as other mics do, this making it difficult later when mixing vocals. And most definitely not tiny sounding like other lower-budget mics. Of course, keep in mind that every vocalist's voice is different and what might work for them might not work for you. The shock mount is also very well build and sturdy. Easy to assemble on a mic stand and comes with a mic stand adaptor. The fact that it has a cut-off place in front of the shock mount to get out of way of the vocal plosive filter is a clever design. This doesn't affect the sturdiness of the mic mount at all. And is something that makes your setup look professional. Shipment came on time and well packaged together, and yes, Everything comes in a hardcover case.

Very full, smooth and balanced sound
After reviewing numerous articles and YouTube videos, I purchased this microphone to record acoustic guitar. I find the sound very smooth and balanced. It has high sensitivity and so you can run the gain on your pre-amp at modest levels. I amusing this in conjunction with a 2nd small diaphragm Condenser microphone. I use the Rogers microphone down by the bridge and the other mic Up near where the bridge and body meet. I have also used this as a single microphone to record guitar with excellent results.

Very (very) good (nearly great) for the money UPDATED
Update: After a couple of years I find myself using this mic more and more times over my other large diaphragm condensers. I work with multiple vocalists and a good number of acoustic instruments, and this mic keeps coming out on top. So I need to bump the rating from 4 stars to 5. Original review (4 stars): I wanted to love this mic, especially given its compact size. I spent a good bit of time using it in A-B situations with the rest of my mic collection, which includes large diaphragm AKG-414, and Rode NT1 (original) and NT2s. It has a nice character and I'm definitely keeping it around but in 80% of the cases I prefer the other large diaphragm mics. So that makes it hard to give it a 5-star-you-must-buy-THIS-mic recommendation. That said, it is a very nicely neutral sounding mic that would likely serve someone well as their only mic in a minimal studio rig.

Easy to Use and Sounds Amazing
This was so clean and warm sounding; granted I was using a very cheap mic before this but I've done a lot of recording over the years. Still, I'm no pro, just a part timer. knowing that the company really put in the time to test and use the mic before it ever got to me gave me a great sense of relief. I felt I could count on the mic to come to me and not be the one that didn't pass muster.

Till och med dåliga inspelningsutrymmen kan man få bra inspelningar med minik47. Behöver nästan inte mixa vocals med den.

Great sounding mic
This mic holds it's own with every mic in my studio I compared it to. Might even surpass the one I've been using most of the time.
