Can save you from being hit from behind!
This works great. I'm very glad I decided to try this out after some close calls. Very easy to install though the instructions could have been better as to how the lights work when vehicles come upon you from right behind or from the sides. Red for behind and yellow for the sides of you. From what I have discerned from using this is, the lights will light up solid when it detects vehicles farther behind or beside you and flash when they are much closer to you or if coming up on you fast, then they will only flash. I like it so well I'm going to see if I can get a system like this for my older SUV.

Great value but with some quirks
In general works as expected. The good: 1. Decent quality 2. Wires long enough to get it where you need it on the bike. 3. High sensitivity. 4. Installation is pretty straightforward. The bad: 1. Wires are somewhat too long. Like all of hem. I wish there was an option to make them shorter easily - I even reached out to AlienRider asking for connector specifications, but they only responded that they don't recommend any modifications to be made. 2. Sometimes too sensitive. Motorcycles don't always stay in the center of the lane. If I'm riding on the right - I would get false alarms from one lane over, not just the lane next to me. 3. The brackets are not side-specific, meaning both brackets are the same and will look a little weird on one side of the bike. The brackets are cnc'ed laser cut and not deburred, meaning the edges of the steel are pretty sharp. 4. One of the tiny bolts attaching the indicators to the brackets broke when I was trying to tighten it. A small piece is stuck inside the indicator, I reached out to the manufacturer for a solution. Overall I'd say it's a great safety tool for additional awareness for the price.

Alienrider install
This device is a godsend! It's a no brainer when installing. Depending on the bike you'll be installing it on, I just purchased the Yamaha Star venture transcontinental and thought I was going to have to remove the fuel tank for the sensor wires, but didn't. Was able to nestle and tuck the wires in place. Looks good, works great! I highly recommend.

The company is unwilling to honor the warranty
Shortly after installing the M7 on my motorcycle, I required a shoulder operation that prevented me from riding for several months. When I resumed riding, it was during cooler weather and the unit worked as advertised. As soon as the weather started warming up the indicator lights would start flashing continuously. It doesn’t work in temperatures over 75 degrees. By this time it was outside the return window for Amazon so I contacted the company customer support. They have had me do troubleshooting for several weeks and claim that mine is the only unit that has had this problem. So far they have been unwilling to replace it or provide a refund. It is still within the warranty period but it’s becoming pretty clear that they have no intention of resolving the problem. As a follow up: the company finally agreed to send me a replacement, which I received. I initially replaced just the control unit with no change in behavior. When I replaced the transceiver then the unit worked perfectly. I’m very happy with the unit now that it is operating as advertised. But it appeared to me that the costumer service person that I was working with was more interested in receiving a five star rating than resolving the problem. I was asked more than once during the process to provide a positive review even though they hadn’t resolved the issue. They also told me that it wasn’t necessary to return the faulty unit even though they claimed that it was the only one that had the problem. If I was the manufacturer, I would want the faulty unit back for troubleshooting. I think a low rating is the best that is deserved.

Disappointed with Quality Control, but Works!
Lack of Quality Control, Power Wire missing for Yellow Battery Power, and indicator Brackets both are for the same side. The Product looks good, but these issues need to be addressed. The unit can be installed with key “on” power only, not stated in the manual. Overall, it works great!
