This is a wonderful knife. It holds its edge, and is very sharp. I use a steel on it after I use it and so far it stayed very sharp. I like the balance and the way it feels in my hand and I'm very impressed with it

I am a professional chef...in my mind, and in my own home. This makes me uniquely qualified to state that this is the best knife (silent k FYI) that I've ever used. The first one I had lasted about 5 years of being washed & dried in a dishwasher before the handle finally split, but that's on me - the knife blade itself is still pristine. For the price, it can't be beat, and again, I am a 3 Michelin star chef, based on my wife's reviews and that I'm good at making meal kits and I've watched The Bear. Trust me, buy it.

This is a product of an Italian cookware brand. The version that Amazon delivers are probably seconds versions with tiny flaws (mine had a small scratch mark), as I have seen videos of the retail stuff on you tube that has the micheangelo emblem at the hilt and has a far nicer paclaging with illustrated company history, whereas the one we get here hhas no hilt emblem & comes in a bland box with a padded foam cutout to keep the knife. Performance is amazing, full bolster design, very comfortable to hold. It's super sharp, I cut paper with it. Very comfortable pakawood grip, and the solid weight means chopping with a rolling motion is very enoyable. Has the feel of far more expensives knifes, beautiful laser etched damascus design, hassle free german steel. Nothing much else to ask for. wouldve given 5 stars if it came with the illustrated box and emblem on hilt
