Parfum Gres Madame Grés Edp, Oriental Floral, 100 millilitre

Super perfume. Receive lots of positive comments

I'd been aware of this perfume for some time and of reviews on even one of the dedicated perfume enthusiasts' websites likening it to Miss Dior - so I was happy to blind buy and give it a try. I had been very sceptical that a perfume costing £15.50 at time of writing could be all that good. And for the price you're getting a big 100ml bottle. That bottle actually looks beautiful. The glass has an ombre pale orange colour that becomes paler towards the base with the spray mechanism in chrome and a flat oval top in clear acrylic. The label in cream and black looks cleanly understated. The bottle doesn't give the impression of a £15.50 per 100ml fragrance. And I'm happy to say neither did the contents. To my amazement, it really did smell very much like Miss Dior. I sprayed it on just once on the pulse points around 3pm the first day of use - and I could still smell Madame Gres the next morning, albeit not strongly. So is there any difference between the two scents? Of course! But it is a subtle one. The depth present in Miss Dior, a more complex fragrance, is really not present in Madame Gres. Miss Dior seems to change subtly over the period it's worn. Madame Gres pretty much remains the same. I prefer Miss Dior - but I don't think Madame Gres is to be avoided and I'm glad I made her acquaintance. She's a much better fragrance than her price point suggests and a great discovery.

Lasts well in wear.

Firstly, I love the bottle. The simplicity of it and the lovely colour fade in the glass. Very classy. The smell is sweet and floral and fruity. I already love most Grèa fragrances so I was desperate to try this one. And I wasn’t disappointed. It lasts a good few hours and it’s just a classy scent, I love it.

Fast despatch and arrived on time. Was very well packaged. Beautiful bottle, gorgeous perfume and at an unbelievable price.

Ho acquistato Madame Grès quasi per nostalgia, dopo averlo sentito addosso a mia madre da bambina. Ritrovarlo disponibile su Amazon mi ha fatto davvero piacere, ed è stato come aprire un cassetto di ricordi. Devo dire che non ha tradito le aspettative — anzi, riscoperto con un naso adulto lo apprezzo ancora di più. È un profumo che appartiene a una scuola olfattiva precisa, quella della grande profumeria classica francese: strutturato, avvolgente, con una presenza scenica importante ma mai volgare. L'apertura è floreale e leggermente cipriata, con note che si aprono gradualmente rivelando una base calda e morbida di muschio e legni che rimane sulla pelle per ore. La sillage è generosa — chi vi passa accanto lo nota, e difficilmente dimentica. La qualità dell'Eau de Parfum è percepibile fin dal primo spruzzo: la concentrazione è buona e la durata sulla pelle supera abbondantemente le sei ore, con una persistenza sul tessuto che arriva tranquillamente al giorno successivo

Zu Anfang fand ich es schrecklich,aber das volle Potential kam erst nach einer Weile. Es riecht sehr weiblich,blumig und süß. Ich habe den Kauf nicht bereut. Schade das es so teuer geworden ist.
