How many seeds does this kit come with?

The number of seeds included in the kit is based upon the current rate of germination in our nursery...we use the same seed to grow all of our tree seedlings. Typically, anywhere from 3-8. Included on the outside of the canister is our customer service information. if you have any issue with germination, you simply contact us through the provided email address. We will answer questions, provide suggestions and replacement seed so that you are able to give it another try. We are here to help you. Thanks for asking, and thanks for growing trees!

Do you have to add more water to the soil while it's in the fridge for 20 days?

Not usually. You should be able to tell at a glance if moisture still exists in the mini greenhouse; typically there is condensation present on it's sides. Give it a glance. If at any point you do need to add moisture to your kit, a mist from a squirt bottle, an eye dropper...or a spoon. You want to add it gently so as not to disturb the sown seed. Have fun with your project!

Can this be transported internationally?

Each country has its own agricultural regulations. You can contact your local ag extension of the USDA to check country/species.

Can you leave it in the fridge longer than 20 days?

Sure, a real seed would be in the cold ground for much longer. The only thing you'll need to watch for is mold.

Not worth buying, buy a pre-grown

The tree never sprouted and I followed all directions super carefully. This seems like a scam. They didn’t even look like proper redwood seeds.

Growing fast!

Like all of these cans, I purchased expecting a single tree per can.4 of these sprouted however only 1 survived more than a few weeks. That lone survivor is growing very rapidly. Very full with bright coloring.

Disappointing

After more than a year of trying to get this to sprout following the directions, there was moss and a few tiny weeds, but the seed never started. Seems to be a common issue based on reviews sadly. Was really hoping this would work.
