This is the BEST dog muzzle! My dog was a pandemic puppy, so he has terrible anxiety especially when going to the vet. With his last visit, he was so anxious that the vet gave us a muzzle to put on him, yet we couldn’t put on the muzzle because he was wriggling so much. Briefly, we got it on, but he was able to take it off in one swipe. Once we were sent home, I went on a search for a muzzle that would fit him yet still be quick to slip on (the muzzle the vet gave us was tight and impossible to put on unless he was completely still) while being unremovable on his part. Many videos, articles, and online reviews said that the basket-like muzzles with many holes would be ethical and comfortable due to the ability to still feed and hydrate your dog, so I purchased one. Unfortunately, it fit weirdly on my dog and he was able to stick his nails into the muzzle’s holes and get a good enough grip to rip the muzzle off. The bulky design also made him severely distressed. I then found this listing, which has multiple muzzles with different sizes for a price that was cheaper than just buying one muzzle. The design looked slim and comfortable, and to my surprise, it was! The fabric is smooth and has a nice feel, the clasp in the back is secure, and size 4 fit my dog perfectly. He was not scared of it when I presented it to him, unlike with the previous basket muzzle. I was able to train him to be somewhat comfortable with wearing the muzzle, and when we brought him to the vet, he struggled to remove the muzzle long enough for them to give him the necessary vaccinations. I’m so happy and pleased with this purchase that saved me a lot of hassle and stress. If you buy this muzzle, you’ll be able to find the perfect size for your dog, keep vet technicians safe, and your dog will be comfortable. I also want to note that you can feed your dog and give him water while the muzzle is on, though I don’t recommend keeping muzzles on for a long duration of time or while your dog needs to eat and drink. This muzzle was perfect for the 8 minutes that we needed him to wear it, and I’m glad that my 25lb smart Shiba Inu could not tear into it and take it off.

We have two dogs who eat poop. Vet suggested putting muzzles on them before letting them out. I was a bit overwhelmed with the variety of products I found and was unsure what size I would need for a 20 lb min-pin mix and a 55 lb pit bull hound mix (both rescues!). This was a perfect solution! Offers seven different sizes so we could find the best fit, and the part that goes around the nose does not adjust, which is actually good because our boys aggressively work at getting these off. The only negative would be the length of the straps in the smaller sizes. We used a size 3 on the little guy but the 5 on the bigger boy was ineffective: he was still able to eat poop while wearing it. So we put the size 4 on and it came off because the strap pulled all the way through the adjuster. So we’ll find a way to affix it permanently in that position so he can still wear it but it won’t come off. The really tiny ones we will donate to the vet’s office. Fantastic value for a first purchase, you really can’t go wrong if you have no idea what you need and don’t want to waste a ton of money on something that you’re not sure will work for your dog’s snout.

I like the variety of sizes since it's almost impossible to determine w/o actually trying it on the dog. Our average-sized German Shepherd fit in both size 5 & 6. It was very easy to put on and stayed on perfectly, much better than a couple of other far more expensive muzzles we tried. It seemed comfortable on our dog. I can't speak to the ability to eat or drink because he didn't even try while wearing it, so we didn't keep it on him for long stretches. This would work well to stop barking, etc. We needed it to prevent our dog from biting, which just started to be a problem. Under no stress it seemed to hold up well. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars from me is because when my Shepherd tried to attack our other dog, it ripped quite easily. If you need it to prevent aggressive biting or barking I'd recommend doubling-up the muzzles, putting on the best-fitting one first, then the next largest one over that. I imagine that would have done the trick. All-in-all it's worth the price.

Being a dog mom I was looking for something to keep the noise level to a minimum and these sad to say the least failed! My dogs were able to still bark, and even chewed right through the clasped! So maybe these would be good for a smaller indoor dog but I still think the same thing would happen. Was a great buy but I will be looking for something more durable if you want something cheap that you will throw away in less than a week then this is it and if not try something else!

We just got a 1 year old havanese 9 days ago who had (notice I said HAD) severe separation anxiety that we were unaware of. He barked and barked and barked in his crate or even being enclosed in a room alone. The first night we had him, we put him in the crate and he showed out. We ended up putting him in my daughters room in the crate that night. He still barked a little but not as bad. Several days later I realized that it actually enables the anxiety, so to break him, we separated him again (after researching and practicing various methods). He still barked and barked and barked. One night he kept everyone up. I purchased this but did not use it right away. Fed up with the barking, we decided to use this. We put it on him, put him back in the crate and he went absolutely crazy. My husband and I both had blank stares. It was like putting a bouncy ball in the crate and letting it go wild. He lost hair in this one dog battle. He was able to get it from around his nose and partially in his mouth. We took him out and took it off. We put him back in the crate and he didn’t bark the rest of the night or any nights since then... only when it’s morning and time to go potty. Didn’t work like I thought it would, but it worked! He’s not 100% there yet but at least we can sleep now.

We bought this to put on our german shepherd / husky mix while she gets accustomed to her new "baby sister puppy." She can be rough, and we don't want accidents. Well, that's what we almost had, but I'll get to that later. First, we were surprised to see that, having 7 different sizes labeled 1-7, even the #7 was very tight on her. Yes, the title of the product says the word "Extra" implying "Extra Large" but that's definitely not the case. We couldn't wait to order another one so, for the price, we started using this while researching another alternative. We put the muzzle on her and, within 30 seconds, it was off!!! WHAT!? Turns out that the fabric used for the strap is very smooth and slips right out of the buckle. I tried putting it on again and pulled very lightly with my hands, and it came right off!!! That is extremely dangerous!!! I ended up having to sow (not quite what I did, more of passing some thread that I'd be embarrassed if someone saw; some staples may have been used too) the strap onto itself right where the buckle goes so that it won't come off. This is definitely not an item I would recommend to anyone unless they're comfortable sowing (which I am not) and they have a smaller dog.

Love that it's affordable enough so I don't mind that I don't get use of some of the sizes. It's not the best quality, but it certainly does the job for my pups. If you introduce the muzzle to them early enough, they get used to it. My gsd pup is 3 months and his cousin is just a couple weeks older. They met for the first time and spent the weekend together - two rambunctious,large breed, male pups! Whenever they would start to get too mouthy, my sister and I would put these muzzles on them and at first they squirmed and rubbed their noses on the floor, but eventually they got used to it and it totally calmed them down. I used this type of muzzle on my crazy black lab when she was a puppy and it truly was the thing that would just calm her right down. You need to size it right so that your dog can still drink and take treats from your hand. Would definitely recommend this for the training stages.

I partly like having a variety since I was not sure what size my dog will need. The muzzles are not sturdy at all. They are very cheaply made. The straps are not long enough & causes the clip to slide off if my dog is rambunctious. There is nothing to prevent the clip from sliding off. The straps are unraveling already and it has only been used a handful of times. Other than that, the muzzle works well for now until it is destroyed from being so flimsy. We do not allow my dog to try to paw it off, so hopefully it lasts longer. We use it for when she is biting/ mouthing a lot (German Shepherd). We have tried everything else & with the recommendation from a trainer & vet we started looking for muzzles. The tight muzzle calms her down. We remove it after several minutes & she plays with better manners. I have not used it for barking, but I plan on testing it out. I also plan on upgrading to a better muzzle, I just haven't found one similar that is better quality yet.

Multi pack of muzzles is good if you have visiting dogs. For our own Labradors there were only 2 muzzles which fitted the others were too small and mainly for shitzu or petite dogs.

My daughter took a course in grooming and often does friends’ dogs which come in different shapes and sizes:) So this package is perfect. Clips make it easy to put on and take off. Nice protection when your the one holding the dog;)
