Check Settings
Initially the battery was losing 25-30% of its charge per day even when 'turned off'. The expected rate is <= 5% in "standby" mode, less when turned off. This can be achieved by holding the power switch until a question appears on the screen "Are you sure to turn it off?", and under Settings --> General Setting --> Auto screen off to 3 min / Auto power off to one hour. iFlyTech were helpful in giving me hints in this direction - and these are instructions that might be usefully included in the Manual. Having the sound files in .wav format is helpful. The transcription accuracy is adequate. Avoiding a subscription service that's no more accurate is excellent.

Amazing Recorder with Free Offline Transcription I absolutely love this digital voice recorder! It converts speech to text in real-time without needing Wi-Fi, and it's completely free!
