What's the difference between folic acid and methylfolate, and why does it matter?

Methylfolate is the active, bioavailable form of folate that your body can use immediately. Up to 40% of women have a gene variation (MTHFR) that makes it difficult to convert synthetic folic acid. Folate helps to reduce risk of neural tube defects.*

Will this prenatal cause queasiness or constipation like others I've tried?

Our gentle iron formulation (from ferrous bisglycinate) is designed to minimize constipation and stomach upset. Vitamin B6 helps ease pregnancy-related queasiness. Take with food for best absorption and comfort.*

When should I start taking prenatal vitamins, and can I continue after birth?

Start as soon as you begin trying to conceive—neural tube development happens in weeks 3-8, often before pregnancy is confirmed. One bottle provides a 30-day supply. Switch to a postnatal vitamin, like Total Postnatal + DHA, after birth.

Is the DHA from fish? I'm worried about mercury and I'm vegetarian.

Our DHA is 100% vegan, sourced from algae—the same place fish get their omega-3s. It's mercury-free and third-party tested for purity. You get all the brain-building benefits without any fish, fishy taste, or ocean contaminants.*

How is this different from the prenatal my doctor prescribed?

Pink Stork includes 14 OBGYN-recommended ingredients, including methylfolate, choline, and vegan DHA—nutrients often missing from prescription prenatals. We're Clean Label certified, made in a cGMP facility, and formulated for all trimesters.*
