My veterinarian recommended AminAvast to me many years ago when one of my cats was diagnosed with CKD. He said it was kind of like Azodyl but better, because it doesn't have to be refrigerated and in his experience, it got better results. Anyway, I've been giving the capsule form to my cats with kidney disease with great success ever since. (You just open the capsule and mix it in their food). One of them has been in Stage 1 for about 8 years with no progression, and I believe this supplement and a high-quality diet has contributed to that. I was hesitant to try to new soft chews because she can be picky with food and treats (as many kidney cats can) but I figured my other cats would eat them if she didn't. Well. No worries anymore! I gave her one...I haven't seen this 16-year-old cat get that excited about anything in a long time! They're nice and soft, which is great because she only has a few teeth left. I break them up. Not because she can't eat a whole one, but because I'm trying to make her think I'm giving her extra. She literally begs for more! I prefer the treats over the capsules now because sometimes she wouldn't eat all of her food, but with the treats I know she's getting the entire supplement. These are worth every penny! And I have see the kidney values go down after giving my cats AminAvast, so I am confident in how well they work.

I have only been using this for about a week with my cat, who was recently diagnosed with early stage 3 kidney disease. I want to let others know that if their animals are picky, these in “treat form” are absolutely delicious… so says my extremely picky cat. She’s been hard to get to eat all her food and has particularly been pickier since developing kidney issues. She’s been eating more since receiving this supplement and seems more active so far. She absolutely LOVES these and thinks they’re just another delicious treat. I was afraid I’d spent $40 on something she wouldn’t touch, but if you’re afraid of your animal’s pickiness, don’t be so concerned… my cat never fails to devour them. She’s also not had any stomach upset with them. I feel better knowing she’s getting the vitamins she needs for her kidneys to function more effectively for longer.

My dog loves these. Great treat while tending to his needs. 4 stars because it’s a bit pricey.

I have given my cat with hyperthryoidism the Aminivast capsule sprinkled on his food for a long time without issue. I found these treats and purchased. The first one I gave him he began to vomit violently. I just figured they did not agree with him and put them away. Recently at a routine vet check for my other cat they said his kidneys might be a tad small. So, I decided to let him have one of the treats. Shortly thereafter he began to vomit violently as well. So, there must be something wrong with the treats! Unfortunately the return window has passed. 2 thrown up treats for a whole lot of $$$. I would recommend the capsules, but NOT THE TREATS!!!

I’m assuming this is going to be a very good product. My dog loves the taste. Can’t wait to labs done

Awesome- the cats love it!

Unfortunately my cat doesn't tolerate this product, he throws up after every dose. I tried cutting up one into very small pieces and he still can't keep it down.

Part of a routine that brought our ckd cat back from the brink. Pricey but absolutely worth it. At a time when he refused to eat most things he loves these like a treat. He is doing well now and we are thankful for this and other products we’ve been using. Highly recommend.
