Does the blade lock in when inside the handle?

Yes, they were worth the money.

I pressed the Red button once and only the light and sound came out. No blade at all, so how do I get the blade to come out?

Flick the handle in a downward motion for the blade to mechanically distend - or just pull the blade out by hand. The button does NOT control the blade. It's just for light and sound.

Will these stay lit if no one in touching them? I want to use these as decoration in my classroom.

No they will automatically turn off like 10 or 15 minutes
