Longtime Huel user — Kachava wins on texture and flavor variety
I used Huel for several years as a powerlifter, fully replacing meals with it. It worked nutritionally but I never solved the texture problem — even with perfect mixing technique it always had a slight chalkiness I just learned to tolerate. Kachava fixed that immediately. It mixes silky smooth with no chalky finish. When you're drinking these regularly that difference matters more than it sounds. I tried every flavor in the sample pack. Coconut Acai wasn't for me — too tropical and candy-like. But Chai was excellent, Chocolate is a reliable go-to, Matcha is solid, and Vanilla is a dependable staple. That range is actually where Kachava has a real advantage I didn't expect. With Huel I'd try their rotating special flavors and always end up retreating to Chocolate because nothing else held up over time. With Kachava I'd genuinely rotate between Chai, Chocolate, Matcha, and Vanilla — they're different enough to keep things interesting without being gimmicky. For anyone using meal replacements long-term, flavor fatigue is real, and variety that actually works is underrated. I'm also lactose intolerant, so dairy-free is non-negotiable for me. Kachava covers that without compromise. My use has shifted too — rather than fully replacing meals like I did with Huel, I use Kachava to supplement what I'm already eating. That works better for me, and having flavors I genuinely look forward to makes it easy to stay consistent.

Good for on the go
I'm in my car all day for work, and I wanted a meal replacement shake that was healthy and filling. I decided to give this a try. I was disappointed the first time because I couldn't blend it well enough by hand. But the flavor was there, so I wasn't willing to give it another try. I got a battery operated blender bottle and then it was chef's kiss! Its creamy and tasty. Mixed with water its still thick. It's a big improvement over not eating or grabbing fast food. I feel much better too. My only critique is its only 220 calories. To be a meal replacement I'd expect closer to 400. But it's good quality, and I look forward to trying more flavors. So far Chai is my favorite.

Poor quality, mislabeled packets, not worth it!
Coconut Chai packet was very obviously mislabeled strawberry. If this is the quality control level, then I’d stay far away from this brand. Also, all of the supergreens, fiber blends and everything are a nonsense. The trace amounts are so miniscule, it’s essentially all sugar and useless powders. The ingredient list should’ve already sparked doubts in me but the flavors were nice. Not worth it.

My favorite shake brand!
Big fan! After trying so many protein shakes and meal replacement shakes, this is the #1 company on my list. They taste amazing. They also just released a 15-single pack variety bundle, which is amazing. I put them in my smoothies, too, but by themselves - amazing flavor unlike many other brands. Beware that some of the flavors have caffeine (if you’re watching caffeine intake like me). They have this information on their website.

Must be made with nut milk and some enhancement
From a purely nutritional standpoint there is no better and if you mix it with nut milk and frozen berries, or other complementary flavor, it is actually delicious. However, on its own with water, it is foul. The mix requires something to balance its chalkiness and ersatz sweetness. It needs to be a “milkshake”. The chocolate one with a scoop of raw cacao and frozen nut milk and regular nut milk is like a frosty. The strawberry w nut milk and frozen strawberries is also wonderful. Stay away from the coconut açaí- it tastes like 80s banana boat sun tan lotion no matter what you do to it

Great nutrition, but get the trial package to evaluate the taste (everyone is different).
The mixability of Ka'Chava is great, definitely blends well with water. The consistency is okay- a bit grainy, but I am used to that and it doesn't bother me. I got the variety pack because I wanted to try as many flavors as I could without committing to a bag. My daughter drank the chocolate and didn't share... :/. But she said it was good. The vanilla wasn't my favorite- but I wouldn't have an issue drinking it consistently. I do not like the matcha or the coconut acai (that's very subjective, they just aren't my favorite. But if you like matcha, you would like their shake- true matcha flavor). The chai was pretty good, but I couldn't drink it every day. Fullness was 7/10; I am not using it for weight loss but for whole food nutrition and protein content. I believe Ka'Chava puts out a great product in that regard. Overall: effective for whole food nutrition, good consistency and texture, just not my favorite flavors.

Surprisingly impressed, bummed that I have to fork out the money for more
Okay so I’m super surprised and also a bit annoyed that I actually like this stuff as much as I do (cause I’m not made of money lol). Idk why anyone would desire to live off of nutritional shakes, I’m having to because I’m having an impossible time getting enough calories due to intense anxiety and stress and issues with appetite and my gut. I’ve tried a few different types of shakes; some of the premade ones that come in cartons, and another vegan powdered based meal replacement shake. I haven’t enjoyed any of the ones I’ve tried, hence me going for this purchase of the variety pack. I honestly had low expectations on flavor but the ingredients are fantastic as far as I’m concerned. And I can’t do dairy so I’m always opting for a vegan version of whatever. So I tried the chai one, I’m actually halfway through it right now and well I’m super super impressed. It actually tastes lovely. All I did was throw it into my blender bottle with unsweetened almond milk (wanted to try it without anything else first time). Surprisingly not as grainy or clumpy as the other brand I have. And the taste is actually really nice and I’m honestly picky about pretty much everything. It doesn’t have any sort of artificial nasty sweetness, which I detest. Idk how to describe it, it’s a subtle chai, not crazy spicy or heavily flavored but just enough. I’m super excited to try the other flavors as I go about my week. Bummed that I’m gonna have to penny pinch to buy a full sized bag at some point lol but considering I desperately need something like this at least once a day to make sure I have enough calories and nutrients, I’m happy I found one that actually am enjoying for once. Woohoo!

Great tasting shake
How great tasting this protein is. It may be a bit pricy but when you do the math not bad for a good meal. It is so filling that if you're a light eater you can have half of it for lunch with all kinds of nuts which will be very healthy. Also you can have your regular dinner and have the rest of your shake on ice as a desert . That's how good this is.
