Great pantry bargain to stock up!
This is a family favorite because it's so versatile. We can use it in lots of different recipes, hot and cold, and also as a side dish. And because it's canned, it's super convenient to cook. Once when our power went out, we cooked it over a campfire, adding some chunks of fire-roasted hot dogs, and the kids loved it. Fun and tasty!

Spanish rice
Love this Kent Spanish rice I always use it in my soups that I make and I canโt find it in the grocery store here, but it is the best choice for me on Spanish rice

Rice in a can
Who knew. Have used several of this brands products before, saw this and decided to try. A whole lot easier than cooking rider on the stove. Taste is not bad, may be a little bland. Good pride for the price.

MMM...comfort food!
My thanks to those who answered my question. I have looked for years for a copy-cat recipe or a substitute for Van Camp's Spanish Rice, which I grew up eating, and have missed since the company decided to discontinue making it. It tastes just like it! Our Catholic family often had this with poached or fried eggs for Friday dinner - it is excellent. Other days, Mom would add some mild sausage or hamburger - also very good. My favorite comfort food is back at last!
