I bought this educational toy for my 2-year-old, even though the box says it's recommended for children 3 and up. Even so, with supervision, he's loved it and is thoroughly entertained. What I like most is that it keeps my baby occupied in a fun and educational way, without needing screens all the time. He loves placing the pieces, matching colors, and tracing the shapes on the cards. I feel it also helps with his coordination, concentration, and fine motor skills. The pieces are colorful, durable, and easy for little hands to manipulate. Plus, it comes with several designs so the game doesn't get boring quickly. The only thing I didn't like as much is that the small pieces can easily get lost if they aren't put away after playing, so I recommend having a separate bag or box to organize them. I definitely feel it was worth buying. It's been an excellent alternative for reducing screen time and keeping my baby entertained while learning through play. I highly recommend it for parents looking for educational and entertaining activities for their little ones.

The plastic is sturdy and has zero chemical smell. ​Safety Audit: While the pegs are too large to be a choking hazard, I think, BUT they could potentially scratch the inside of a child's mouth if they try to put them in. I’ve also seen reports of sets arriving with broken pieces-this is a serious safety risk for little ones, so I highly recommend a thorough adult inspection before giving it to a child. ​The "Yellow Base" Issue: Some reviewers mentioned confusion because the yellow base shows through the edges of the pictures. I agree that a white or transparent base might have been a smarter design choice to avoid distracting the child from the actual pattern. ​Functionality: The pegs must be pushed straight down. If tilted, they won't go in. My daughter (3 years old) sometimes uses her whole body weight to force them, and the toy has survived!
