Can you go outward as well? Pictures only show inward.

Our picture only shows one way of installation which is the tray and clamps are facing the same direction. But sure the tray can go outward if you mount the tray and "F" clamps in the opposite direction. Thank you for your advise.

How tall is it from the very bottom of the tray to the top of the clamp?

Our under desk cable management tray is about 8.75 inches tall after fully assembled.

Is the hardware (bolts) in black? The image shows them in white but the reviews show them in black.

The bolts are the same color as the cable tray.
