is it safe for color treated hair?

It is technically "safe" for color-treated hair, but I find it made my colored hair feel like straw. I slather on the Free & Clear Conditioner too, but it is very basic and rinses out very quickly. However, they do not irritate my super-sensitized skin and I haven't been able to find anything else.

Is this the new formula purified water, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, sodium chloride cocamidopropylamine oxide, ...

Here are the ingredients listed on my bottle: purified water, lauryl glucoside, coco glucoside, acrylates copolymer, disodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium cocoyl glycinate, glycerin, sucrose cocoate, panthenol, pentylene glycol, 1.2-hexanediol, sodium cocoyl glutamate, disodium EDTA, caprylyl glycol, , sodium hydroxide, and sodium chloride. The front of the bottle reads: For sensitive skin, free of dye, lanolin, fragrance, masking fragrance, protein, parabens, formaldehyde & other preservative, sulfate-free and gluten-free. Hope this helps - I use it because it is the only shampoo I have found that is truly fragrance-free.

I need "no smell" because of allergic rhinitis. Can anyone tell me about the fragrance.

Contrary to some people claiming this has no smell, while it has no fragrance or aromatic oils, it does have mildly strong, what I would describe as, chemical or plastic smell, which I can deal with, and it leaves no fragrance in the hair or on the skin.

Does it contain coconut?

I am allergic to coconut oil and I can use this by coconut fraction strangely enough this new formula does not bother me. It used to be coconut free!
