Do i need to have a USB cable for you guys to read my existing radio to capture the channel signal?

To read the radio you will need a programming cable for the specific radio you want to read. We have many of these cables readily available to use, we would just need to verify the radio model. Give us a call at 1.866.402.0038 and we can assist you further.

I have one of these, will a new one work along side this, or do I have to program the other one to sync up ?

You would have to program the new one with the same programming info as the old one you have
