The most complete wireless headphones on the market
The Nothing Headphone (1) is a truly complete wireless headphone. I've tried many headphones that cost significantly more, and they all seemed to have at least one major drawback. Let's start with the sound. Out of the box, they sound somewhat veiled and warm. The treble is relaxed relative to the bass and mids. Surprisingly, the bass isn't excessive, and the mids are well tuned. However, I bought these knowing I wasn't going to settle for the stock tuning. The built-in 8-band parametric EQ is a huge advantage over the competition, which typically offers only fixed-band graphic EQs or, at best, a limited 5-band parametric EQ like the Sennheiser HDB 630. The Moondrop Edge 2 appears to be the only wireless headphone that surpasses these with a 10-band parametric EQ, but its ANC, microphone quality, app refinement, quality control, and build quality aren't on the same level as Nothing's. After dialing in the sound with the parametric EQ, these headphones sound excellent. There are still a few adjustments I'd like to make, but the EQ, while far superior to any fixed-band graphic EQ, still has center-frequency limitations for each band. Overall, I was able to achieve a sound signature that I enjoy more than what I've been able to get from much more expensive headphones using their companion apps, with the exception of the Sennheiser HDB 630. Both the HDB 630 and the Nothing Headphone (1) sound fantastic to my ears after EQ, but the Headphone (1) is significantly cheaper, better built, more comfortable, and offers slightly better ANC, transparency mode, and call quality. Comfort is also very good. They aren't quite as comfortable as my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, but they're noticeably more comfortable than the Sony WH-1000XM6. The ear pads have plenty of depth, so my ears don't touch the drivers or experience any pressure. The clamping force is secure without being excessive, unlike the AirPods Max. The headband padding is also adequate, and I didn't notice any significant hot spots. These are a slightly heavier pair of headphones, though, so you're always aware that you're wearing them. The ANC is excellent. It suppresses background noise very effectively without introducing any noticeable hiss. Once music starts playing, outside distractions virtually disappear. Transparency mode is also impressive. Everything sounds natural, although just slightly less clear than real life. I can comfortably hold a conversation while wearing them. The controls are another highlight. I really like the roller button, which provides satisfying tactile feedback for volume adjustments while also functioning as a play/pause control and ANC/transparency toggle. The paddle switch is genius, allowing you to scrub through tracks, skip songs, and answer or end phone calls. The customizable button is also useful—I have mine set to launch Siri with a single press and mute the microphone during phone calls with a press and hold. These headphones include all the features I look for in a modern wireless headset. Bluetooth multipoint lets me stay connected to both my iPhone and MacBook simultaneously, and spatial audio with head tracking is available when I want a more immersive experience while watching videos. Battery life is excellent, delivering over 35 hours with ANC enabled and up to 80 hours with ANC turned off. Finally, the microphone quality is excellent, doing a great job of reducing background noise while keeping my voice clear during calls. At $230 on sale, these headphones are honestly both surprising and refreshing. It's almost embarrassing for the competition that they outperform every other wireless headphone I've tried overall. A large part of that comes down to the onboard 8-band parametric EQ, but it's the combination of excellent sound (after EQ), thoughtful features, strong usability, and competitive pricing that makes the Nothing Headphone (1) such an impressive package.

I’m impressed!
As a longtime Apple consumer, these are some stylish, comfortable, great sounding headphones. I’ve tried XM6’s (returned them because the headband is extremely uncomfortable for me) and the AirPods Max 2 (I love them, but they’re too heavy for extensive use). 1. They look amazing in person and quality just stands out. 2. The sound quality is okay out of the box, but after tweaking the EQ settings using the app, they sound amazing! (Not AirPods Max amazing, but still very impressive sound!) 3. The bass hits HARD and can be adjusted in the app. 4. I love the physical buttons on the headphones and the ON/OFF button is life changing. 5. I love the unique sounds the headphones make when connecting, activating ANC, and transparency mode. 6. Pretty comfortable on my head for someone who wears glasses. Overall, they’re pretty good for the price. I will probably use these for traveling instead of my AirPods Max since they feel lighter on my head.

Wow (Edited after 2 months use)
Below is my original review and I stand by everything I wrote. However, with some fiddling, I have improved the sound a bit to my liking. The first thing I did was enable the LDAC codec. I was unaware when I purchased these that I could do so. It provides a better baseline for the music to begin tinkering with EQ settings. I also bumped up the streaming quality of the music to its highest level before "lossless". And the third thing I did was install the app (sorry....I HATE apps), and refined the curve to my hearing limitations. I get that these are not audiophile level headphones, but I didn't pay for that. I paid for solid and enjoyable and I received that in spades. I love the physical controls... the vol wheel (LOVE it) and the paddle selector (LOVE it). The range of the bluetooth connection is truly impressive. I can be on the other side of our house from the phone and it's still connected without cutting in/out. Are they a bit heavy? Yep. Are they a tad tight? Yep. Noted. But again, I have worn these for a couple of hours straight without any issue. The ear pads comfortably cover my ears and do not cause them to heat up from pressure or friction. Now.....I did get these at the $239 price when they were being promoted, so understand that that is where my price/value perspective is from. I do not use them when working outside or during work outs. I know they have the whole sweat/water resistance thing going on, but they are too heavy for me compared to a $50 pair I own and that I don't mind getting dirty and nasty. Besides, when I'm mowing or edging or cutting etc...I'm not in "fine sound delivery" mode. I use these when I want to kick back and enjoy what I'm listening to and am able to pick out the little detailed nuances that make the music ......... mmmmmmm..... more of a treat. So, that's my update after owning these for a couple of months and using them quite a bit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simply....wow. I haven't done anything except pair them and put them on. No equalizer fiddling, no anything. The pairing was flawless and as quick as any device I've ever paired. The fit is extremely comfortable. I've had them on for over an hour and they are not causing any discomfort with the ears or the head. I took a phone call while listening to music on my phone and the clarity is pretty good. Switching from music to phone to music again was no issue. The noise cancelling was pretty cool. I could not hear myself talking at normal volume. There is a little bit of "stepping on" each other if trying to talk at the same time. The musical sound is great for a pair of headphones at this price point. Clear, not tinny or muddy. Bass is not obnoxious nor is it a background feature. It's crisp, if you can call bass crisp. The sound stage is not totally enveloping, but it's encompassing enough to fill itself. Not sure that makes sense, but it's the only way I know to describe it. Will I fiddle with the settings? You bet. But at first listen, these are definite keepers. Never heard of the company before, but I am impressed.

Unique, Solid Performing Headphones with Best-in-Class EQ and Battery Life
TL;DR - These headphones are great, I've had them now for about a month and have used them nearly every day. If you're in the market for bluetooth noise cancelling headphones, want the best battery life available, and either like or can get acclimated to the unique styling then don't sleep on these. The Good: These headphones have a range of standard and unique features that make using them really enjoyable. -Pairing with the advent of swift-pairing programs is seamless and dead simple, turn them on out of the box and you'll be connected and ready to go in less than 5 minutes. -Wearing the headphones isn't fatigueing, I've spent nearly every day at work with these things on my head for my full 8 hour work day with very little discomfort. -Connection can be managed through the Nothing X app which, while not required, is highly recommended to get the most out of these headphones. -No finicky touch controls here; there are a total of 5 external controls on the headphones (a two way power switch, customizable button which by default activates your phone's voice assistant, an out of the way dedicated bluetooth pairing button, a rocker switch, and a roller that also serves as a button when pushed in). Most of the effects of these buttons can be customized through the app. -3 methods of connectivity through bluetooth, traditional 3.5mm jack, and also lossless audio through USB-C -Noise cancelling that is on par with competition but certainly not best in class. -Access to a full parametric EQ through the app with the ability to download user generated EQ profiles. Whether you want a flat EQ for reference or critical listening or just want the stinkiest amounts of bass possible then the world is your oyster. -Drivers tuned by KEF for very natural and precise sound -Dual connection capability allows me to use these headphones on my PC at home without futzing between connections or even touching my phone after the initial set up. -Battery life is BEST IN CLASS with up to 40 hours of playback with noise cancelling active and double that with noise cancelling off. That's 8 to 10 hours more noise cancelling than Sony or Bose and Apple walks away from the contest embarassed by their flacid 20 hours from their AirPods Max 2. Only the Nothing Headphone (a) has longer battery life at the expense of some audio quality and more advanced features. The Meh: -While I actually consider the unique styling to be a plus, it's not for everyone. My wife definitely doesn't share my opinion on the styling and it's the reason she didn't even consider these when shopping for her set of headphones. -The headband adjustment lacks detents. This has the upside of meaning there's an infinite range of sizes possible between the largest and smallest sizes but also means that without tension on the mechanism they don't hold the size you want very well. You'll probably have to adjust the headband size every time you put them on again. -I haven't confirmed this, but I don't think it's possible to output the mic through the 3.5mm jack. The reason I don't think so is that the included 3.5mm cable is only 3 pole (left, right, and ground) as opposed to 4 pole (left, right, ground, and microphone). Again I could be wrong, and it also probably doesn't matter to a whole lot of people, but if that feature is missing then it would be unfortunate. The bad (which turned out to be not so bad): -In my original review I noted how I thought there was no way to replace the ear cups or battery but I must retract that statement. After further investigation, the ear cups and headband are in fact removable and removal is rather easy once you know how. Removing the ear cups reveals screws on each side that can be undone to reveal the innards of the headphones and the batteries that power them. Replacement ear cups are not available from Nothing but third parties do have (very limited) options available. However, Nothing does not sell replacement batteries so any users who want to replace the batteries will have to scrounge the depths of places such as AliExpress for cells that match the voltage and current needs of the electronics. Still not fully repairable, but not nearly as bad as other options on the market. If the aftermarket can step in where Nothing doesn't seem willing, then this point could go from bad to meh.

Nice for the Price!
Thin case for traveling with a quality headset. Having a cable for older equipment as well as wireless for modern equipment is plus for sure. Noise cancelling is very nice, they are affordable while giving a nice clean sound. They look cool as well.

I tried to love them
I was super excited to get these headphones. The features are, on paper, fantastic. The ANC was spectacular, the transparency mode was much better than expected, the sound, after EQ, was great. The problem with these headphones is that you HAVE to utilize the software updates in order to make them sound remotely close to what they should. I bought these for Black Friday, and up until returning them in January, the firmware update that was out was broken. The bass boost, which is what I was really excited for, just did NOT work. There was a 50% chance the volume would't get that loud, and I mean they sounded about 50% of what I expected, and there was no way to force a downgrade or try to get the beta except for waiting. After returning them, I kept up with the updates out of sheer curiousity, and they released the update AT THE END OF FEBRUARY. It's just upsetting that there was radio silence on their end and the only version we could use was practically unusable, which is so sad because these headphones have GREAT hardware and the potential to sound spectacular for their price and place in the bluetooth headphone space. If you don't mind having your headphones be able to break from a faulty update and are patient, I am sure you will enjoy tinkering with these, but I cannot recommend at ALL for a reliable daily driver.

So far so great. May replace all my Bose/Sennheiser/Sony
Since Bose QC35ii, I haven't seen wireless ANC headphones I didn't immediately feel like returning soon after putting them on. Not so this time. Physical controls are that important and that much better than the weird trend of making everything controlled by touch. No triple tap or two finger swipe combinations to figure out and remember, which may also be incompatible between brands if you use headphones from multiple brands. No accidental pauses, skips or volume changes because you accidentally touch something, brush against a pillow or a hood. It's like comparing typing on an iPad screen vs. a mechanical keyboard. You just get satisfying clicks, toggles and rolls. The 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable may be a tad annoying to switch to since I have the tiny 2.5mm to 3.5mm cables strategic plugged into some of my devices or instruments but is obviously a better choice since the 2.5mm plugs and jacks wear out so quickly. I was surprised to find how satisfying and secure the rectangular earcups make it to grab and hold your headphones. They may seem slightly weird at first, but I think this may be a great improvement! No automatic pause when taking off by default, but that also means you won't accidentally stop playback when you just want to scratch your ear or adjust the earcup. You can turn it on though. With the long lasting battery, I may also finally not need multiple pairs of headphones to have a spare any time I don't charge my QCs overnight for all day use. The spatial audio with head tracking feature seems fun. I'm going to keep it on for a while to see if it's more of an improvement or an annoyance. It basically makes the sound seem to come from in front of you, so when you turn your head - it moves the stereo balance a bit in the other direction. I'd turned it on once or twice for novelty, but then turned it off and forgot about it. There are tons of settings to explore in the app including supposedly most customizable equalizer and... Essential News widget? So far, these seem like the most innovative tech product I got in a long time out of a very long list of gadgets. Now, after a month of use I did see a few issues. Compared to my QC35s, they squeeze your ears a bit harder and the padding also isn't as soft. If you don't have them in the exact right place - they may also end up pressing hard plastic into your ears. Overall, they may be a bit less comfortable in long use, but I'm sure YMMV. The other issue is that they have a problem where occasionally when I pause playback from my phone using the button on the headphones and a minute later try to resume it the same way - the headphones end up resuming playback on my iPad instead of the phone which I last paused. Hopefully a firmware update will fix it soon. Thirdly, the battery lasts a few days, which is great, except now I'm getting out of the habit of charging my headphones every night, which can be a pain since you need to then open the app to see how much juice is left! One thing which can be a positive or negative depending on the user - they do turn some heads. I had quite a few people compliment or ask about them when I went out with them on. If you want to wear your headphones to hide and isolate from society - these may not be for you! :) Overall, 95% happy with the purchase.

Aesthetically pleasing and incredible sound.
I was so excited to try these out the moment I saw them. The design is of course very eye-catching with the mimicking of a retro tape cassette, and pictures don't really do it justice for how cool they look in person. The fit of them is nice and comfortable, with an easily adjustable band. It feels very sturdy and not flimsy like some. The buttons are really handy on this, great for those like me who are a bit fatigued with everything being touch activated and accidentally tapping things without meaning to. With these you have full control of volume with a sleek roller, and a paddle button to easily skip/rewind tracks. Bluetooth connectivity was swift and easy, no issues there, and I really like that it comes with an audio cable to listen wired too! Sound is excellent. Great noise cancellation. After listening to some tracks, it can be a little heavy on the bass, but I assume this is something you can tweak with the app, which I have not done. I'm fairly happy with how it sounds as is, but good to know this is an option. Overall, definitely worth the price. Fully in love with these and will be using daily!

Very well thought out set of headphones
Update: I love these headphones, the Bluetooth is fabulous. Been wearing them every day on my digger and you hardly hear the machine. When you answer a phone call with a backpack blower on the caller can't even here the machine. Wow. The buttons are great and Google AI works just from your voice. I initially bought these because they had some weather resistance to them and they were the only pair that I could find. I work as a gardener using loud machinery and mowers. The noise cancellation is as good if not better than my AirPods and Samsung earbuds. The app for Android is well thought out and you can custom your hearing ability in the app which is a lovely touch. For me the sound quality is perfect there is a very slight muffling on some of the tones but I think this could be down to the weatherproofing of the unit whereas the bose and Sony don't have this option so there sound might be clearer. I don't think this is an issue at all and for the average person in the street these are a perfect set of overear headphones. The one thing I was very surprised about as I listened to the developer talking about these headphones before I bought them and they commented about the placement of the switches and how to use them saying they'd put a lot of thought into these, well I can 100% agree that these are the most logical and easy to use buttons and switches I have ever had on the set of headphones so for this I commend them highly. I also took out Amazon insurance on them as I will be using them outside all year and generally aware my earpods for at least 8 hours each day so these will be very nice not having to have them in my ear. The long and short of it is yes I can highly recommend these overear headphones

A headphone with many very well implemented features and superb build quality for its price.
This is a headphone with many very well implemented features. The Nothing Headphone 1 is pretty comfortable, has terrific build quality and a very nice and distinctive design, although this is a matter of personal preference. Sound quality is better and more balanced than the AIrPods Max I've had for a few years now and with double the battery life. It also sounds better, IMO, than the new Sony WH-1000XM6 which costs significantly more. And if you want to taylor the sound to your preference, the EQ provided is one of the best I've seen in any headphone, providing 2 kinds of adjustments, one that is very straightforward and similar to what you find in other headphones, and another for people who want to explore much finer and precise EQ adjustments. ANC isn't at the level of the AirPods Max or the Sonys, but it does the job quite well. Call quality is very good since I've had no complaints from people at the other end of several calls I've had, and you also get an option to map one of the buttons and have the possibility to mute the mic during a call. Transparency mode is quite good and though it isn't on the AirPods level, it does get pretty close. The travel case is fairly small and pretty sturdy which is a plus since these headphones do not fold when you put them in the case. In all all, I think that for 299€ you'll be hard pressed to find such a good ANC headphone that does so many things right.
