I tested this product today with my 4 year old niece. I think it's best selling point is that it is cute. My set came with a snail and a ladybug which my niece loved. The track pieces are colorful and made of durable plastic. The cardboard pieces and the ladybug/snail are somewhat less durable. The fit between track pieces is tight. I would argue too tight as it is hard to assemble and disassemble to make changes. Each racer takes a AAA battery, and I didn't have any problems with excessive battery drain. The age range is between 3-8 years. My 4 year old niece was able to assemble the pieces, but the logic of putting a track together to create a seamless path was beyond her comprehension. Plus, the pieces were hard for her to get apart to make changes once she got them together. I think this would be a good toy for a 3-4 year old to work on with a 6-8 year old where the older one makes the track and the younger starts the racers. Overall, it's a decent value for the money. There is a lot of variation in the tracks that can be made. If they made simpler tracks and made slightly easier to disassemble tracks, it would be great for the under-5 crowd.

This fun game gets the older kids wanting to play with the preschooler in the family. The hard plastic tiles fit together like other popular games for older kids and adults. Yet the cars are cute and fun for the little guys. Both cars come packaged with a miniature screw driver, making assembly quick. All the parts seem quality. I would suggest to set the game up on a table or a hardwood floor so the kids don’t lean on the tiles and crack them. All in all it’s an exciting game that is a good value for the money.

This is a cute set than includes 15 pieces of track that can be combined in various ways and an insect car--though mine also included a snail in addition to the ladybug. That looks like a mistake. The cars travel on the tracks that you create. They also include some foam cutouts of trees and flowers to decorate your track, but I think that is superfluous. The cars require a AA battery, not included, and there is a warning for small parts for children under 3.

The description says it includes a screwdriver (one is needed to put batteries in cars); the set I received did not include that - not a dealbreaker, as I have a screwdriver. However, it also says that this play set includes 3 toy cars; the set I received included only 2; that part is very disappointing. In addition, one of the cars that was included (ladybug) had pieces broken off. It’s too bad, because this could otherwise be a cute toy: the puzzle-piece tracks can fit together in different ways, and the cardboard plant decorations are heavy-duty and cute, to add another dimension to play. It's not terribly easy to put the track pieces together, and the cars don't necessarily stay on the track - though they do have a pretty good "zoom" factor when they're running. Was hoping to give this as a gift, but I don't really think it's good enough for that, so it will likely get donated somewhere.
