It sets up easy. The carry bag is very useful and it has more storage capacity than just for that. I actually put my other tripod in there too. The legs have gotten more unstable overtime, but it still works fine and the remote is really easy to lose.

I own two of these Torjim softbox lamps (1–2 years each). They light up my art space well and get the job done, but the build quality shows its limits over time. The plastic cover on both lamps came loose very early on and no longer stays in place (the grooved clips on the plastic aren’t broken - it may be heat-related). These run very hot during use. The black lining around the diffuser that velcro onto the softbox started disintegrating into a messy, chalky, charcoal-like powder that leaves residue everywhere. One lamp no longer responds to the remote, especially once it heats up. Is lightweight and easy to move but stability isn’t great - one is now tilting despite being kept stationary. If you need affordable, beginner friendly and functional studio lights, they’ll work. Just expect heat, wear, and durability issues after a year or so.

I like this light for the price point. I’m by no means a professional, but I regularly have to photograph foster kittens and this helps dial up the light. I like it better than the ring light because I could never quite get the ring reflection to not show up in the kittens’ eyes. It’s portable, bright, sturdy, and folds easy for storage. I even used it as a work light for painting a small piece of furniture.
