Yikes! Why so expensive! My local store sells a 3 lb. box for $2.29!

It’s $16.25 for a 3 pound box on Walmart website right now.

Does this salt contain ANY other ingredient ... like anti-caking agents? Thank you.

No, the Morton Kosher contains the YPS anti-caking agent, but Diamond Crystal Kosher does not contain any additives or caking agents.

Is this salt large enough to go in a grinder or are they flakes?

The salt in not large enough for a grinder. They are fine flakes. I like this salt because it's less salty tasting.

This is what i was given for a 'date.' 0020732631 1acz can anyone interpret it for me?

this salt is at least 10 million years old. so it might be expired.. lol date on salt.. really.. hahahha

Twice the price of Morton's Kosher salt, but no additives. I think it's worth it.

I love the advice -- "No additives. If the product starts to clump, shake the box." I'm stunned that Amazon search returns this bit of advice: "No results for kosher salt in Food & Beverage" Really? What is it categorized under? A search for Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt returns nothing, and yet, here we are. . .

The Gold Standard for Everyday Cooking

The Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt has earned its reputation for good reason. The texture is light and consistent, making it exceptionally easy to control by hand whether seasoning proteins, finishing vegetables, or building flavor gradually while cooking. What stands out most is the crystal structure itself. The flakes dissolve cleanly and distribute evenly, which gives seasoning a more precise, intuitive feel compared to denser salts that can become overly aggressive very quickly. There’s also a tactile quality that makes cooking with it noticeably more fluid. Pinching, scattering, and adjusting seasoning feels controlled rather than mechanical, which is part of why it’s so widely favored in professional kitchens. The flavor remains clean and straightforward, allowing ingredients themselves to stay at the center rather than introducing harshness or excessive salinity. It performs equally well in everyday cooking and more technical preparation where consistency matters. It’s the kind of foundational pantry ingredient that quietly improves nearly everything through texture, reliability, and ease of use.
