Spendy but well worth every $.
I purchased this for myself as I am working toward a more healthful life and it was recommended by family members. At first, I struggled with the annual subscription $; however, after using it for over a month now, I am amazed at the amount of data and recommendations for improvements in my health. It even has what is called "Healthspan" which predicts your actual age versus chronologic age based on your health data. Each day, the user is able to recieve a summary of past 24 hours as well as what improvements can be made in the future to positively affect the user's Healthspan. I had Fitbits for at least at least 13 years and this is an absolute game changer! Well worth the $$ based on the changes I have already been able to make in just over a month's time. It is recommended to keep the tracker on at all times, including showering. It is a bit awkward recharging because the charger actually is applied to the tracker and it charges while you are on the move (I didn't know this at first). I did change the original mesh wristband for a silicone replacement because I didn't like wearing a wet band after showering. This is only a personal preference and I don't think it should be considered a negative to the overall product, but feel others should be aware. Finally, similar to Fitbit, there are communities which the user can join to encourage improvement. You can also create a new community as my family did, so we can compete against each other while obtaining positive health benefits. New communities can be shared with others by simply sending a code and, again, very easy. In my opinion this is a very well made product that can definitely lead to improved health and wellness!

Great for your health goals
I’ve been using the WHOOP Strap 5.0 for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the most insightful fitness tools I’ve ever used. What sets it apart is the focus on recovery, sleep, and strain—not just steps or calories. The daily recovery score has been a game changer for knowing when to push hard and when to dial it back. It’s helped me train smarter instead of just harder. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed, breaking down everything from sleep stages to how well you actually recovered overnight. I also love that it gives practical recommendations, not just data. The band itself is comfortable enough to wear 24/7, and the battery pack system is super convenient since you can charge it without taking it off. Only downside is the subscription model, but honestly, if you’re serious about fitness, it’s worth it for the level of insight you get. Overall, highly recommend—especially if you want to understand your body better and improve performance and recovery.

Buyer beware. Really cool idea, but died after 3 weeks.... No idea when it will be replaced.
Totally excited to order this tracker (WHOOP 5.0) and the all the metrics it tracks and the AI interface in the app. make it seems you have a full time assist reviewing your daily steps, sleep, heart rate, etc. Once it arrived, I immediately downloaded the app and connected via bluetooth. Ok, I will break down the good and the bad: The Good: 1. Great battery life and easy to recharge while wearing it. No screen obviously helps with this long battery life 2. The application is very intuitive and it appears they are continuing on improving it. 3. The AI assistant to give you insights with all your metrics and gives you recommendations on how you can improve your sleep, HR, and overall health. 4. The built in Journal is really handy to track your overall habits. Ok, now the Bad.... 1. No screen. This was obvious when I ordered, but coming from a Fitbit, just something you need to get used to. 2. Some of the metrics take weeks to unlock, so you need to be patient for those features, such as whats your WHOOP fitness age vs. actual age. 3. $399.00 every year... 4. The BIG ONE!!!!!!! My $399.00 WHOOP worked great for 3 weeks, then stopped tracking my sleep. After a couple nights of this, the built AI assistant recommended I shut off the blueotooth and re-connect. That did nothing. Next was to reset the unit. That did nothing. Basically without it tracking your sleep, it didn't switch to the next day, so know all the my metrics were messed up. Example, my daily steps are usually 14K. It was know showing as 28K per day. So I contacted customer support... After they made me send photos proving how I was wearing it, then finally agreed after several days that the unit needed to be replaced. No kidding. As of today, I am 15 days without my unit working, and no ship date on when a replacement will be sent to me. All they told me is they have a lot of new orders. I really don't care about, take care of your existing clients first. So, buyer beware.

Whoop 🙌 whoop! Get your whoop!
I love this Whoop so much! I had no idea I needed something so much until I started wearing it. The Whoop has helped me track my fitness goals, sleep, and overall health. If you want to track your health and habits this is your thing. I had been feeling a little funny for a while, having a hard time breathing and somehow the Whoop noticed it and notified me something was off. I checked in with the doctor and sure enough I had anemia. I recommend it 100% the new Whoop IA feature is also very helpful. I’ve heard from other users that they don’t use it that much, and I think it’s a shame because you can get a lot of good advice and insights from it. It also remembers previous interactions which makes it very helpful to keep track over time. The alarm feature is also super helpful, nothing wakes me up faster than my hand shaking 🫨 From a hardware perspective I’ve been using mine for over a month now. I haven’t taken it off and it seems to be working well. The battery on mine has been lasting for a while 15-20 days and I use the alarm every day. I also use it while swimming.

Whoop
This sure is pricy but the data it gives back is phenomenal. The best feature is 14 day battery life.

First time user
Decided to give this a shot after being influenced online. Originally got the Whoop 5.0 (peak membership), but after seeing the relentless paywall on the Whoop app to upgrade to the Whoop 5.0 medical grade (life membership) to unlock the ECG feature and blood pressure insights, decided to return my standard Whoop 5.0 band and cancel my peak plan and go for the Whoop 5.0 mg device and pay the higher annual fee for the life membership, even after the pro-rated fee was reduced in months, which is what tempted me to upgrade in the first place, so my billing cycle would start in 2027, but come to find out, the company as of late has had a very bad customer experience and shady business practices since introducing the 5.0 devices with their changed upgrade policy requiring users to pay to get the newest Whoop device when that wasn’t necessary before and a premium that was included and outlined in the original membership plans before the 5.0 devices were introduced. Whoop ended up changing their terms and conditions in light of these circumstances, which felt a bit deceitful, especially being a first-time user hearing about all this right out the gate … Moving onto the device itself, the device feels solid and it’s no larger than a binder clip or maybe even a standard pink pencil eraser in thickness, which is nice, and the battery life is very impressive, lasting 14 days exactly. However, the water resistance isn’t so great, and Whoop doesn’t recommend submerging the device in any kind of water for long periods of time but states it can be worn in the shower or in very shallow waters (10ft), which is a bit of a contradiction considering the brand message and device use case calls for this to be worn all the time 24/7, and the included battery pack further makes that statement clearer as you don’t remove the band to charge it; you slide on the battery pack, which is also water resistant by the way, to charge it while the band is strapped to your wrist, and the battery pack itself is what needs to be charged. Also, sleeping with this thing will take some time to get used to it as it can be difficult for side sleepers such as myself to feel comfortable with something on your wrist. The bands for this device feel subpar in quality, but that’s not here nor there as the real star of the show is the Whoop app and how it breaks down all the data the band collects, which is what you’re paying to use. All in all, very robust app experience with metrics and data galore. However, for me, it became too much to interact with, and certain data required manual input to gain access to further health insights, which for me became a bit much to stick to on a daily basis, which takes out of the money I’m putting into taking advantage of the full app experience. All in all, this can be a very solid product for athletes, coaches, runners, and fitness professionals/enthusiasts and for people who just hate smart watches, but definitely not for average people who just work out 5 days a week at a gym, and I already wear an Apple Watch. For those that don’t know, Apple’s health app is nowhere close to interpreting data like the Whoop, which is what drew me into getting one in the first place. Whoop also sells garments and clothing to wear the Whoop in different places of your body, not just your wrist, which is a plus and something I haven’t seen done before. Ultimately, the product lived up to the expectation, but the quality, use case, and the business side of things are what drew me to return the band.

Good and bad
First. The engineers did a hell of a job and I would give them 5 stars. Their marketing department however get no stars. A subscription that costs as much as the product? Are you kidding me? If it had been listed I never would have purchased this. As it is I’m sending it back. The app: decent app except for overly broad permissions. Everything under the sun is required and not optional, alone not a deal breaker but not great. Lastly, having just purchased the device with a free year subscription, you still have to enter a credit card payment. Another negative.

***EDITED**** Not Quite JUNK - In My Humble opinion
***Updating to 4 stars*** After wearing this every day since I received it (approaching 3 weeks) - and initially being really negative due to the lack of available 'real time' data, I have grown to appreciate the insights it provides. It does utilize a LOT of data to come up with its analysis of your health. If you don't want that - but would rather have a conglomeration of real-time data that you can look at - and work to make sense of on your own, there are plenty of devices out there for that. The approach here is more about gathering lots of data to create more accurate readings over time. Which - ultimately, is what matters. It matters more than 'one moment in time' type readings of bp, RHR, etc. The access to data on this thing is so restricted, I've resorted to using a cuff to read my BP (always lower than their "estimate"). It DOES have the data - WHOOP choses not to show you the actual data for fear of being sued I suppose. Further, I just did an elliptical workout. The elliptical I used has its own heart monitor. This device showed my live heart rate (using the activity feature) at a consistently MUCH lower rate than the elliptical. I realize the elliptical is likely not terribly accurate either. However, right after my workout, I took an ECG reading with this WHOOP device, and yet, IT showed my heart rate as 20 BPM HIGHER than what it showed during my live workout session. This device may be for you if you want a bunch of suggestions on how to improve your health, but, if you have a simple plan, and just want access to real-time data, there are myriad devices available for a LOT less money that will do exactly that, for 1/3rd the price of this junk. I don't need any fancy analysis. If I really want some analysis, I'll use the multitude of free tools available on the internet to help guide me. I'm sending this thing back as soon as my replacement arrives. Worthless to me. I gave it 2 stars ONLY because it does have some decent data insights (providing the data is any good - which is suspect at least in my case). I'd just like to add, if I wanted to constantly check my BP using a cuff, I NEVER would have bought this stupid thing... If you want to look at your blood pressure readings throughout the day to come up with an average, this device is most certainly not for you. If you'd like to trust the data, I'd also suggest some other device.

Excellent - life-changer!
If I could give 10 stars I would! I bought the high spec 'Life' version and even at what I paid (£349) I think it is crazy value for money and I shall most definitely be renewing again after 12 months. It has provided invaluable data and intelligence, supporting my cardiac issues, sleep management, exercise regime, rest, recovery management eating times and so much more. The user interface and experience is very. Battery life of over a week and quick recharge means I'm never without it (with the clip-on charger you can charge it while using it at the gym etc. I thought my Apple Watch and phone were good, but this is on a totally different level. In my case it's literally a life-changer.
